]]> A descendant project of gifted production minds DJ Shadow and G Jones, Nite School Klik remains one of the most prelusory and unfortunately short-lived collaborative efforts in electronic music to this date. Conspiring for a temporary two-track ensemble released via Liquid Amber in 2015 before the project retreated to the shadows where it’s remained ever since, leaving an ever-dwindling hope that the two might reunite again in the future.

‘Posse’ is a track that emphatically predates any sonic comparison of its kind. An abnormally precursive vocal sample sets into motion an unnerving echoing of steely percussion and muffled invocation, which gently dissipates as an incisive blade sets loose a mercurial torrent of low-resonating bass frequencies.
