]]> If you’re not familiar with Myopic Sounds or Partica Artist Group, I hate to tell you, but you’re missing out on some of the best up and coming trap in the scene right now. Myopic Sounds is an LA based collective that started releasing tracks 6 months ago, but have an incredible selection of 31 tracks to date. Partica Artist Group has an insanely stacked roster, boasting names like Runnit, GURF, and XTALS; each release is better than the last. Both groups are steadily churning out jaw-dropping tracks, and with such a similar taste in trap music, a collaborative compilation only seemed natural. Each track on the ‘Myopic vs. Partica – All Star Compilation’ is a hit, and the entire compilation is an absolute home run.

Runnit and Litty McGuire’s wonky banger ‘LETIGO‘ is a perfect introduction to the compilation, giving listeners a high energy track to fully let themselves go. GURF and ZCR’s ‘FIGHT’ is an eerie step into a dark dimension that delivers a knockout punch. ‘GAMMA’ by XAVIER and U.O.ME overload their systems and pour out a thick bass banger that is sure to rock any speaker. RAFTYR and SIXPATHS’ ‘PULL UP’ is a wiggly bass track that weaves through immense sound design. Finally, jordnmoody and sømething craft an absolutely out of this world banger on, ‘FIU’, with hypnotizing soundscapes and an intoxicating energy, it’s one of the standouts on the compilation.

]]> Partica Artist Group and Myopic Sounds are two of the most promising collectives to be established in 2019. Despite their recent inception they quickly became FUXWITHIT favourites with their forward-thinking sounds, commitment to breaking new artists and overall consistency. When we found out they’d be connecting for a compilation we knew we had to get in on the fun for a premiere. Kicking off the compilation comes the first single ‘LETIGO’ from Runnit & newcomer Litty McGuire. Pulling gritty vocals and ad libs from Playboi Carti, Future and MadeinTYO and combining them with some serious knock and filthy sound design results in a top-tier trap banger. With just the right amount of groove and a healthy helping of wonk, they simply knocked this one out of the park.

‘LETIGO’ is the first taste of 5 track All Star Compilation which is set to see some of the finest bass artists from the east and west coasts colliding. We had to connect with Gurf & Runnit to get a bit more insight into how this all came together. “We noticed Myopic Sounds a few months back because they released their debut compilation just around the same time we did ours. We kept joking that they were “west coast Partica” because they were into that wonky weird trap sound that we were going for! Between that and their stellar visual branding, we felt like it was a no brainer to work with them. We wanted to capitalize on the duality between us, and since summer was upon us, we had this hilarious idea to frame the whole comp like a classic summer baseball tournament. We wanted to do something unique but still thematic, so we lined up the guys in two “teams” and made each member collab with somebody on the opposite team. Forcing everybody to collaborate ended up feeling way more organic then we could have imagined and we’re very proud of that,” Partica’s Gurf  & Runnit explain. Having heard the comp, I can assure you, you won’t be disappointed. Bump ‘LETIGO’ now and be sure to look out for a new track of the project dropping every week through August.
