Luke Da Duke explores new sound on ‘Cashmere’

Luke Da Duke made a name for himself with turnt up trap and twerk anthems like ‘Hustlin,’ ‘Get Em Up’ and ‘Ask About Me’. After some time off, Da Duke is making his return with a new sound. ‘Cashmere’ packs a sultry downtempo vibe that pulls together wonky bass lines, alluring synths and even a little club influence. Add in a smattering of samples (shout out Ludacris), some stelllar vocal bends inspired by Cashmere Cat and Luke Da Duke’s trap expertise and you’ve got something special. Yeah baby, yeah. As our US and UK readers prep for the long weekend we’ve got another selection of the week’s hottest tracks to make it even better. Sparking things off we’ve got the brand new Diplo x Swizzymack x CL x Riff Raff x OG Maco heater ‘Dr. Pepper’. Next up we’ve got some booty bouncing tunes from Choppa Dunks x Snappy Jit and Karl Hungus. Taking a darker turn we move into filthy tunes from Space Race, Duck&Bear, Luke Da Duke, and dabow. Switching it up, Yung Death Ray takes it ‘Slow’ with an interesting blend of future R&B and club. Flippy Frog kicks things up right after with a club rework of ‘Be Real’. Finally we end it off with a wavey rework of ‘White Iverson’ courtesy of Y//2//K. Enjoy the music and the rest of your weekend.
