MadeinTYO, Mac Miller and Carnage Connect For ‘Learn How To Watch’

The long-awaited collaboration between MadeinTYO, Mac Miller, and Carnage has finally arrived. A year after expected drop date, ‘Learn How To Watch’ is the newest track from Carnage. The track drops in anticipation of his sophomore album and while it’s the perfect festival song, only one listen through is all you need. Mac Miller has a refreshing verse that fits well with Carnage’s production, but the ‘skrt skrts’ throughout feel out of place and unnecessary. Also, compared to his first release Papi Gordo, it seems as if Carnage is content to let the rappers run the song rather than have his production be the focal point. Mac Miller and MadeinTYO set the pace while the flute like background is just that; background music. It’s clear that Carnage is going in a new direction, possibly moving away from his hard trap roots but we will have to wait and see if it pays off.

Mac Miller switches things up once again with his newly released and very anticipated album, The Divine Feminine. It’s not exactly the name of an album that’s trying front. and that’s because it isn’t. It’s transcended the categories of being hard or sentimental, it’s good music. Mac Miller was able to say “You don’t know how beautiful you are.” without the cheesiness you felt when you read that. With simple and beautiful instrumentals and amazing featured vocals, Mac Miller made love sound smooth, nice, and cool. The vibes of this album know what it’s doing and how to do it. It Its pushing boundaries without shouting that it’s pushing boundaries. So give it a listen at the link below:

Mac Miller’s GO:OD AM is Shaping up Nicely

With his third album gearing up to drop, Mac Miller released his latest single ‘Break the Law’. Over some beat breaks Miller entices listeners to break the law and stack up a couple racks. You’ll notice his overall voice inflection is a little different on this track but regardless ~~Larry Fisherman~~ Mac Miller is spitting straight bars. This isn’t an official track but this freestyle is mean, just as Funk Flex says. The Penn State native goes in over the Mobb Deep classic ‘Survival of the Fittest’. Easily flowing over the dark beat, Miller throws fast paced bars and multi’s while Funk Flex enjoys the display. This dropped before his last album Watching Movies with the Sound Off hit the shelves. Boaz – Don’t Know feat. Mac Miller

Too much money on my mind. Now to be fair, I’ve never actually listened to a full Boaz track – but the Mac Miller feature got me to tune in. The feature makes sense, Boaz is signed to Rostrum Records which was Mac’s previous home. The indie label and management company worked wonders with Miller’s career and even though they split earlier this year Mac stated that they would “always work together”. Well, we’re glad that’s the case. Boaz drops some cool bars over this attention grabbing beat and he crafts a pretty catchy hook to keep the crowd buzzing but the highlight is Mac Miller’s verse. Though he’s been kind of silent lately, Miller kills his verse with a flow and tempo switch halfway through. You can judge for yourself – press play below. Boaz’s ‘Intuition’ drops on the 21st, cop it if you fux.
