A few months back I stumbled upon MAVERICK’s SoundCloud and made my way through his tracks in awe. His last 5 tracks are all incredible hip-hop remixes with a wavy twist. Every one is great, but his remixes of A$AP Rocky, Kendrick Lamar, and Drake are must listens. Today, the talented producer is back with a fresh rework, taking on ScHoolBoy Q’s ‘Gangsta’. The track somehow manages to amplify the hardness of Q’s delivery while perfectly balancing hard hitting with a vibed out sound. It’s laid back and in your face at the same time, it’s also a free download!

Drake Remixed

Making this list wasn’t easy. Although there are probably hundreds of remixes out there, you have to weed your way through twice the amount of covers and reposts of his originals to find them. Which bring us to the reason we made this list: Drake is arguably the most popular and influential rapper today. Whether it’s a new artist he has signed, his role as Ambassador to Toronto’s NBA team, or his OVO Festival in Toronto, it’s hard to go a day without hearing his name. No wonder there are so many remixes out there.

After a week of digging through SoundCloud, we’ve compiled our favourite Drizzy reworks into one, album-like playlist. We’ve got every genre here, from Deep House, to Trap, to Jersey club. We go from 0 to 100 and then back again. Enjoy.

FUXWITHITFRIDAYS Week 42 is here and it’s absolutely stacked! Luke Da Duke’s ‘Ask About Me’ is straight flames and kicks things off with a bang. Hard hitting jams from 8Er$ & Soniye, Milo & Otis, Buku and more keep the energy flowing. The massive ‘Studio’ remix from Vices & Yung Wall Street begins the transition into some rap tracks including a killer ‘Believe Me’ remix from MAVARICK. There’s also a brief section of hard hitting Deep House before things begin to settle down. Ben Esser provides a wavy remix of ZHU’s ‘Faded’ and we close things out with a fun flip of a hip hop classic. Enjoy your weekend and be sure to share this with your friends.
