Paris based producer Medies has been on our radar for a short while but has already dropped a handful of impressive tracks. My personal favorites include ‘Ain’t Worried About Nothin’, ‘Know What I’m Doing’ and ‘Venus Vs. French Montana’. His latest release is a gritty trapped out rework of Waka Flocka Flame & Tyga’s ‘Get Low’. I first heard MEDIES when he sent us through his ‘Venus vs. French Montana’ and Lil Wayne ‘Know What I’m Doing’ remix. Both trap bangers instantly caught my ear and when I heard his Carmack-esq ‘Puhmani’ his talent became undeniable. With less than 500 followers on SoundCloud, he may be one of the best slept on producers right now. Taking a break from the hard hitting sounds the producer has come through with a smooth remix of French Montana – ‘Ain’t Worried About Nothin’. Creating a completely different vibe from the original, it’s a laid back cruisin’ anthem with shimmering synths and a smooth melody. You can almost see the sunset while cruisin’ in a drop top.
