Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock, Future & James Blake Connect For Massive New Track ‘King’s Dead’

Woah. This is massive! If seeing Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock, Future & James Blake together on a track wasn’t enough, ‘King’s Dead’ is produced by Mike WiLL Made-It and Teddy Walton. The track embodies a similar sound to Kendrick and Mike WiLL’s recent collabs (‘DNA,’ ‘Humble’) but with a new energy thanks to the stacked roster. Kendrick kicks things off with an in your face hook telling listeners “to miss him with the bullshit.” Jay Rock drops the first verse with a rapid-fire flow. Kendrick and Future go back and forth on the hook before Future comes through with his own verse which starts off strong and then gets very odd with a high-pitched flow (expect some memes of this flow). Most surprising is the brief appearance of James Blake who provides a beautiful bridge/intro into the second half which sees the beat switch up, somehow getting harder for King Kendrick to kill it and close it out perfectly. Given the quality and star power on this one, I wouldn’t be surprised if it ends up being one of the biggest records of 2018. Listen below.

Mike Will Made-It Recruits Kendrick Lamar, Rae Sremmurd & Gucci Mane For The ‘Perfect Pint’

Now this is a star studded affair. Super producer Mike WiLL Made-It has tapped Rae Sremmurd, Gucci Mane and Kendrick Lamar for ‘Perfect Pint’. Rae Sremmurd kick the track off supplying the first verse and an almost angelic hook. Gucci comes through for verse two, thuggin’ it out. Unsurprisingly Kendrick comes through and steals the show with a sharp verse going at all the fake G’s in the game with bars like, “2017 onto bigger things (bigger things), I got a smaller team, got a bigger ring (Bigger ring), everybody a Crip till they black and blue, everybody a blood till they hemorrhaging.”

With Mike Will Made-It’s ‘Drinks On Us’ blowing up the clubs, airwaves and internets, it was only a matter of time before a stellar remix surfaced. That time is now with LA’s Salva coming through with hard-hitting rework. Opening with The Weeknd’s sultry vocals the track is met with some menacing synths and actually sees the lows reduced (for the time being). The producer carefully builds the instrumental which finally gives way to a short bass-filled drop that is sure to leave you screw faced. Breaking once again the Weeknd returns and as does the anticipation. Worth the wait, the final drop is a trunk rattler complete with Swae Lee samples. Stream and free download below.
