Aaron Velasquez, better known as Flamingosis, likes reaching out to his fans. This time around, he does so by releasing his popular remix to Missy Elliott’s ‘Work It‘, which he’s played frequently in past shows and mixes.

The tempo’s been raised on the lyrics as compared to the original, yet they’re left (mostly) intact so you can sing along. Meanwhile, the smooth synths lulling in the background blend so well with the bass and soft percussion to add a late-night jazz/lounge vibe, plus a hint of mystery. Since Missy surprised the world at the Super Bowl halftime show, it seems like everyone is dropping remixes to her biggest hits. Though there are a ton that will show up in the next little bit, this one from KRNE is pretty amazing. KRNE flips Missy’s ‘Get Ur Freak On’ into a big trap banger. The most impressive thing about the whole tune is that he creates new contagious melodies from the already infectious track – at the 1:50 minute mark you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about.
