To reboot Floor Fillers, we have the extreme pleasure of having Moore Kismet share some of their favourites. As followers of Moore Kismet since 2018, it has been incredible to watch the astronomical rise of the young talent in recent years, seeing them evolve from an underground favourite into a mainstage superstar. Their list of accolades is endless, and spans beyond what most dream to accomplish in a lifetime. From major festival bookings, to iconic publication features, to a sync deal with Marvel (yes, you read that correctly), Moore Kismet is a star and we have loved following their journey thus far. With their debut album UNIVERSE set to release on June 24th, the future continues to look bright for the talented creative.

‘LOST + FOUND’ was such a highly sought-after song when Ricky first debuted it in a few mixes he did. It was, and still is, one of my favorite songs he’s ever made.

Topi – Optical

‘Optical’ is easily one of the best house songs I’ve ever heard in my life. Everything Topi touches is so beautifully experimental, and regardless of genre, he always knows how to take basic ideas and turn them into complex masterpieces.

Moore Kismet & Chuck Sutton – Ultravoilet (feat. COOKIE.)

‘Ultraviolet’ holds so much importance to me because not only is super beautiful and weird in the best ways, but it’s an all-black collaboration that embraces the fusion of our signature sounds.

JoeB – Cackatones (with RoboD)

‘Cackatones’ in full is still unreleased to the general public, but when JoeB sent me some unreleased tunes for tour a while ago, I knew I to snag it when I got the chance. This has become a staple in the vast majority of my sets.

Voltra – Instance

When Voltra sent me one of the first WIPs of ‘INSTANCE,’ I knew it was destined to be a hit in the electronic scene. It’s such a beautiful fusion of tech and analog-influenced sound design and arrangements with insanely good drums to boot.

‘Hold Up’ is unapologetically in-your-face, which you could also say about each of the artists. Boasting their “black sheep” standing in the world, each artist displays a level of grandiose confidence that exudes through the track. I just couldn’t help but feel good about myself while listening to it! Packed with laser-like synths, dynamic drums, and poignant words about being unabashedly yourself, ‘Hold Up’ is the kick-in-the-ass anthem we needed for those times we could use a boost.

Part of the four Moore Kismet songs released the past Friday, ‘Flourish’ establishes itself as the hardest-hitting one of the group. Given the very distinctive styles of the two producers, it’s super fun to try to pinpoint their signature sounds within the body of the track. The intro and especially the outro are clearly dominated by laxcity’s cinematic and orchestral soundscape with cameos by Kismet’s glitchy synths and vocal choices. The build-up instead is 100% Moore Kismet style. Loud, noisy, galvanizing. As happened in ‘First Of Many,’ in the drop things definitely get mental. I candidly admit that I haven’t even tried to figure out who did what. As an average human being, I simply admire what these two amazing artists have accomplished without asking questions. Want to show your friends the endless potential of electronic music? Show them ‘Flourish’ and they will surely understand.

A soothing soundscape layered with Pauline Herr’s angelic vocals set the stage in the introduction of the track, with Moore Kismet gradually adding some of their distinctive flair before a house-leaning section takes center-stage at the eighty second mark. It’s soft and serene, but still has that unique Moore Kismet sound that all are sure to enjoy. In the latter half of the track, the energy is elevated without taking away from its beauty, with Moore Kismet demonstrating their ability to combine Pauline Herr’s contribution and their pristine production into a sure-fire bop. As the follow-up single to ‘Flair‘ from Moore Kismet’s upcoming EP on Never Say Die, ‘Adore’ sees two producers with distinct styles come together harmoniously on one eclectic piece. The textures and effects present from the get-go are glitchy and engulfing, immediately creating a sense of beautiful chaos within listeners. As the lengthy introduction builds, this sense of disorder slowly grows into a familiar tone, before Moore Kismet and Leotrix flip the script into a trap-leaning beat highlighted by crisp sounds and percussion. The second half of ‘Adore’ builds in a similar fashion, but the flow is switched into a more rhythmic allure, giving the track a more danceable feel.
