Over the years, Neonix has steadily risen into one of the driving forces of innovation in the world of dubstep. Since his early works on Savage Society Records and Circus Records, the Dallas-based producer has evolved his sound into something that many want to copy, but that none can come close to. Never Say Die has served as the home to the majority of his most recent projects, namely the Puppets, Lee Jennings and The Lee Jenningser EPs. Continuing along the theme of the latter two aforementioned collections, The Lee Jenningsest EP is due this Friday via the legendary label once again.

An evolution in style, sound and Lee Jennings (yes, it’s both a noun and an adjective), Neonix’s upcoming four-track collection is among his best work to date, boasting an unprecedented versatility that many are sure to love. Today, we have the extreme pleasure of premiering ‘Pornograffiti,’ a standout from The Lee Jenningsest EP. Fans of Neonix know him for his aggressive and rugged approach to production, often melting one’s face with every new release. Throw that out the window before pressing play on ‘Pornograffiti,’ though, as the artist has crafted an incredibly unique piece that flexes a house groove unlike anything we’ve heard from him in the past. Upon pressing play, listeners are thrown for a loop with rhythmic percussion driving the energy into a subtle bass introduction. Gradually, Neonix leads one to the highlight of the track with bubbly fills and eccentric sounds. When the drop hits, the danceability and swing of the piece are amplified to new heights as a simple yet infectious bassline takes center stage. Unleashing further mayhem eighty seconds into the track, Neonix’s dubstep influence comes to light with sharp, menacing synths peppering your ear drums repeatedly.

Neonix’s meticulous attention to detail and his ability to switch things up before they get stagnant are what make ‘Pornograffiti’ one of the best bass house tracks we’ve heard in a long time. Don’t miss it below.

A handful of artists from the underground bass scene are beginning to become household names, as every track from these producers is sure to exude boisterous creativity. Neonix is no exception. Returning to Never Say Die: Black Label following the release of his late 2019 Puppets EP, Neonix looks to further his dominance in the dubstep scene with the Lee Jennings EP. With tracks from the project dropping daily on SoundCloud since earlier this week, fans can easily recognize the stronghold that Neonix has developed on bass music.

From the rambunctious, highly-anticipated ‘Watating’ to the more vibrant ‘Normalize’ alongside Akeos, the Lee Jennings EP is shaping up to be a heavy-hitting project, and the release of ‘No Faces’ that we are ecstatic to premiere today is simply the cherry on top. An eerie introduction highlighted by supernatural sounds leads listeners to the meat of ‘No Faces,’ where a quintessential riddim flow drives the energy of the track. Minimal and simplistic in its ideas but executed to a tee, ‘No Faces’ is a superb combination of gut-wrenching sound design, meticulously precise fills and a keen attention to detail. It’s not for the faint of heart, but perfect for those who enjoy heavy, core-rattling dubstep.

Check out ‘No Faces’ below and don’t miss the rest of the Lee Jennings EP here.

Oolacile‘s Automaton EP was one of 2019’s most underrated dubstep projects. A quality showcase of the talented producer’s unique signature sound, Automaton featured four innovative tracks that allowed Oolacile to continue to carve his own path in the bass scene. When word broke out of a remix pack for the project, fans were itching in anticipation for its full release and track list. As the remixes slowly began to appear on SoundCloud over the course of the last week, it was evident that Automaton RE:Automated was going to be both heavy and extremely entertaining.

Perhaps the biggest surprise to the track list was Laxcity, an artist not typically seen in the bass realm but always able to hold his ground and let his undeniable talent and work ethic speak for itself. With his take on ‘Divisions,’ Laxcity does just that, transforming Oolacile’s energetic original into a moving future bass bop. Another impressive surprise is Aweminus‘ bass house take on the same track, further displaying his versatility and innovation in genres that often stagnate. Fans of heavier dubstep will love Oolacile’s ‘Neurons VIP,’ Digitist and Neonix‘s remix of ‘Dauntless,’ Akeos and Jub‘s gruelling take on ‘Machina’ and Subfiltronik‘s ferocious ‘Otto’ remix. Frequent collaborators Clockvice and Vorso also deliver an intense version of ‘Dauntless’ while Mr. Bill closes out the diverse project with a soothing yet complex ‘Otto’ flip.

Automaton RE:Automated is direct proof of both Oolacile and his friends’ true talents. Don’t miss it below.

The Sinister Six are taking over Never Say Die: Black Label one release at a time. First came Akeos’ mind-melting Labyrinth EP, followed in style by Neonix’s equally enthralling Puppets EP. Today, UK-based Hukae looks to continue this takeover with a four-track project of his own, the Dirty Talk EP.

“This EP is an embodiment of me as an artist and a person. My heart and soul has gone into this project and I am so happy with how it has turned out. The goal was to make every song sound completely different from the last and really push boundaries in the scene,” Hukae states about his newest collection of tracks. With a single listen-through, one will quickly acknowledge this forward-thinking mindset.

The project’s title track, first teased in mixes from the likes of Subtronics and Aweminus among others, pushes the ingenuity of bass music to new heights. ‘Dirty Talk’ is oddly entertaining from start to finish, never growing old despite its mechanical nature. It’s quirky, unique and almost comical without escaping the heavy undertones one would expect from a Black Label release. ‘Boingo 2,’ a follow-up to the banger that is ‘Boingo,’ plays on the sounds of the original yet is unique in its own right, showcasing Hukae’s monstrous sound design once more. ‘UJ’ with Neonix is a futuristic beast that employs lasers and a robotic aesthetic throughout, again not overbearing with its heaviness but sure to please a wide array of bass fans. ‘Haze’ caps off the Dirty Talk EP with arguably the most headbang-inducing tune of the collection, with pulsating bass stabs carrying the flow of the track.

Hukae has made a statement with the Dirty Talk EP. Don’t miss it below.
