Happy Friday! The weekend is finally here and to make it even better we have an especially killer #FUXWITHITFRIDAYS. Kicking thing off we have a banging stoner anthem from GAWTBASS x DVNK SINATRV. The mixture of repetitive vocals, hazy breaks and neck breaking drops are impossible not to love. Other standouts include nasty remixes of ‘Bobby Bitch’, ‘Coco’ and ‘2 Sides’ that are guaranteed to give your subs a serious workout. For those suffering from festival withdrawal, we’ve got a huge remix from Beganie and a fresh original from Tomsize and Dakat. Nick Hook – Going Back 2 (feat. Bodega Bamz, Crystal Caines, DJ Sliink & Nadus)

Nick Hook has had a pretty impressive 2014. Earlier this year he went Searching for Sound with Baauer, connected with Hudson Mohawke and S-Type to produce The Rap Monument and produced the smash ‘Old English’. Closing the year off strong, the NY producer connected with Dj Sliink, Nadus, Bodega Bamz and Crystal Caines (yes, you read that correctly). ‘Going Back 2’ is a unique blend of inventive sounds and contrasting styles. The track opens with a bouncy futuristic intro, after some claps Bamz begins flowing smooth. Just as you begin to get comfortable, things get HEAVY. The track drifts between wavy and turnt, for a sound that is absolutely incredible. The vocals from Crystal Caines add a level of sexy that makes this even more enjoyable. The track comes off Nick Hook’s Collage v.1 which drops December 16th. You can pre-order it on iTunes & BandCamp. Baauer – Searching For Sound Documentary

Baauer has made a career out of creating bass heavy and widly creative music that is built upon obscure samples. For his upcoming album he opted to move away from finding samples online, instead he hooked up with Nick Hook to travel and record exotic sounds first hand. Bring Red Bull along for the ride they captured the experience in a 26 minute documentary. The documentary provides a brief history of his viral hit ‘Harlem Shake’, footage of his trips to UAE and Japan, and insight into his process in the studio. The travels are like a musical version of Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown; providing viewers tidbits of history and culture.
