NIGHTOWLS & Brewski Get ‘Blacked Out’ On New Single

Production duo NIGHTOWLS have been impressing us since 2015. It looks like some of the major labels are catching on, as today they unleash their latest single ‘Blacked Out’ through Dim Mak. Opening with “Wake up in the morning at the main stage, 11:00am but we still rage,” Brewski’s bars set the tone for a high energy festival killer that is dripping with filth. The track blends rap with elements of trap and their signature dark and deep wobbles. While their previous single may have invited you to take a ‘Nap In The Club,’ there’s no sleeping on this one. A few months back Callie Reiff & Dapp connected for a nasty collab entitled ‘Wobble’. With Fool’s Gold’s backing it has been taken to new heights with an absolutely insane remix pack. Well actually, two different remix packs to be more precise. Released below for stream and available on iTunes come remixes from NIGHTOWLS, AIRWAV, Blvk Sheep and more. In addition the release comes with a grip of free remixes from Bijou, Holly x Mo Vibez, Zhomek and the aforementioned NIGHTOWLS remix. Destructo’s ‘4Real’ Gets Heavy Flip from NIGHTOWLS & ODEA

Last year we told you LA’s house scene was about to takeover. In that post we highlighted some of the genres brightest new stars and a few OGs. Today a new track dropped that encompasses both sides of the coin. Our favourite up-and-coming production duo, NIGHTOWLS, just connected with ODEA to rework Destructo’s Summer anthem ‘4 Real’. The rework still contains the West Coast bounce from the original but gets far more filthy. The sound design is disgusting, the drops are devastating and the wubs are absolutely cavernous. Our favourite Nocturnal production duo NIGHTOWLS are back in a big way. While ‘Sus’ and ‘Nap In The Club’ have been killing it on the low, their new single ’33’ is set to take over. The massive stadium-ready chords have this primed for the upcoming festival season, but it’s the insane sound design that truly makes this one shine. The familiar upbeat feel is devoured by filthy basslines, industrial sounds and an overwhelming rawness. It’s this balance of mainstream-friendly and filthy that makes this one to watch out for. NIGHTOWLS & SAM F Top Previous Collab With ‘Sus’

Two of LA’s hottest up-and-comers, NIGHTOWLS and Sam F, linked up for a massive house anthem in ‘Nap In The Club,’ just a few months back. Building off the success of the tune, they’ve connected once again for a track that instantly tops their previous effort. ‘Sus’ mixes a bouncy house feel with catchy vocals (“better not trust these suspect woes”) and some sinister bass. The lyrics are simple, fun and sure to be stuck on your head, while the forward-thinking sound design really makes this one standout. I was beginning to wonder if bass house was about to reach its apex, but that second drop is proof there’s still room for evolution. Stream below and grab that free download.

NIGHTOWLS Perfectly Flip A Rusko Classic

Rusko’s ‘Woo Boost’ is one of the most iconic dubstep anthems in existence. It’s arguably the producer’s best work to date and single-handedly converted a ton of listeners into fans of the genre. It’s no surprise that some of today’s hottest new producers fall within that group, including LA production duo NIGHTOWLS. What better way to celebrate and showcase the classic that inspired them then to give it a 2016 flip? With the stems provided by Rusko himself, NIGHTOWLS give it the perfect update. The rework maintains the core sounds of the original while giving it a nasty bass house sound. It’s a reminder of how incredible the original is and a testament to NIGHTOWLS talent.
