Vancouver, Canada’s Walter Wilde has had a steady climb from obscurity into the forefront of the progressive dubstep scene in matter of 2 years. His first major step into the spotlight came in the form of a collaboration with Monxx titled ‘The Wonky Song,’ which got played out by an inordinate amount of mainstage acts for years, and even got remixed and rinsed in every set by the head tyrannosaurus, Excision, himself. Back in December of 2018, Walter Wilde released his Everything is Cool EP, a wobbly 5 track body of work clearly fitting of a release on Ganja White Night’s SubCarbon Records. 2 of those tracks, ‘Everything is Cool,’ and ‘Suga’, got immaculate remix treatments from the likes of Chomppa, Notixx, Tyro, Wubbaduck, and Havel, and we had the pleasure of premiering the entire Everything is Still Cool remix pack for your listening entertainment here on FUXWITHIT.

Philly’s Chomppa leads the charge on the remix tape, putting his own twist on ‘Suga,’ a delightful piece that uses vocal samples from a viral comedy video. To say that this rendition goes hard would be a vast understatement, as “absolutely gross” would be a much more apt description. Manic-movement inducing bass-lines will leave you all “sugared up”, imbued with immense amounts of energy but no clear outlet in site. This is one of those tracks that will leave you permanently bass-faced, doing your best impression of catching a whiff of only the most noxious of fumes. If the first drop didn’t you leave completely battered, the 2nd drop is even more wobbly and “cuckoo”, sure to be a dance-floor dominator in all respects.

Next, Buffalo’s quickly rising bass distributor, Notixx, put his own dark twist on Wilde’s ‘Everything is Cool.’ Utilizing fantastic layering that gives each sound a full-bodied texture, this remix feels like its very own beast. Each note has this almost echo feel which lends itself to a silky smooth gliding effect throughout the entirety of the drop, allowing oneself to fully get lost in the vibrations at hand. If inky wubs are on the menu, let Notixx feed you to your hearts desire.

Right in the middle of this pack is Tyro’s ‘Suga’ remix, a wonderful wobbly piece that will you immediately remind you of the OG dubstep days. Ever taken a hearty whiff of eucalyptus and instantly felt your entire being feel better? This track is the dub equivalent of that, eliciting immense grins from even the most sour of individuals. Bring a little sunshine into your life and all those within earshot, and turn this honker up to 11.

The last 2 remixes included in the pack are Wubbaduck’s take on ‘Suga’ and Havel’s (the contest winner) remix of ‘Everything is Cool’. Both add enough of their own flare to the overall body of work, while still maintaining the consistent theme. As a whole, the Everything is Still Cool Remix Pack is an impressive array of work from some of the brightest young minds in the bass music world. Walter Wilde did an immaculate job of curating the artists included within, and should be proud of all the expansions on his pieces. This collection proves that indeed Everything is Still Cool.

Buffalo based boys Ryan Sinatra and Alek Slon, or Notixx and REZI respectively, have been keeping people gyrating at the atomic level for years now, harnessing pristine levels of production and exceptional flow. Combining hip-hop elements with the best parts of bass music and dubstep, they’ve found a style that will get even the most defiant of feet stomping the ground with malicious intent. Today, we’ve had the great pleasure of premiering their latest collaboration ‘The Movement’ off of Notixx’s second part of his double EP release, the latest being his Infinity EP.

‘The Movement’ has a tremendous probability of ensnaring you in a trance-like state, as you’ll be instantly drawn in by the underlying wubs and the delicious melody. Pair these elements with the vocals of “roll to the rhythm, the music you’ve been given, the music is the movement this is how we’ve come to live it” and you’ve got yourself a soundscape eliciting only the highest of possible highs. The first drop is very bass-heavy, but with a medium level of energy so the dreamstate can fully set in before you’re whisked away into madness. The vocals loop, build, then descend into an absolutely ludicrous dubstep drop to close out this ear buffet. The first half of the song lulls you into submission, and then the latter half smacks so hard even Mike Tyson would cringe at the ferocity.

If Notixx’s Wormhole EP wasn’t enough to tide you over for the holiday season, fear not because the Infinity EP is bursting at the seams with heat. ‘The Movement’ is just one piece of that fantastic puzzle, with the rest being equal parts amazing as well. Make sure to get sufficient rinses of both bodies of work, but for now, check out ‘The Movement’ for yourself below!

Buffalo, New York based Ryan Sinatra has been expertly crafting sound wave intoxicants for several years now under his production moniker Notixx, consistently curating a wobbly, trance-inducing flow paired with popping bass-lines. With support from the dons Bassnectar, Rusko, and Caspa, and releases on SubCarbon, Firepower, and Play Me Records, his vibrations speak for themselves at this point. His latest release, the Wormhole EP, continues his trend of impressive productions, with many varying styles incorporated within that still feel like connected pieces of a larger body of work. Today, we’ve had the great pleasure of premiering ‘Bust This Roof Down’, a track that will surely shake you to your core.

The first thing you’ll notice about ‘Bust This Roof Down’ is just how immaculate the production is. The layers are so clean you could practically eat a four-course-meal off them, each sound building off of the next and none vying for overall control. The underlying trap aesthetic is palpable, coupled with a silky-smooth flow that will have you grooving at even the lowest volume. Crank this bad boy up and you’ll readily experience the full-bodied bass lines that skirt electricity across your body, immediately transcending one to fresh levels of euphoria. This is a track that is honestly a complete joy to listen to, compulsive re-rinses already firmly slated on the menu.

If Notixx wasn’t on your radar before this, he should be quite the large blip after hearing the entirety of his latest Wormhole EP, especially ‘Bust This Roof Down.’ His keen attention to detail and fine-tuned production aesthetic will have any fans of hi-fi tunes eagerly awaiting his next release. Fear not, the 2nd part of his double EP release, Infinity, is coming next Tuesday. Make sure to mark it on your calendars, as this man is far from done. But for now, check out ‘Bust This Down’ and the rest of his Wormhole EP for yourself below!
