1 2 3 4. Hamdi is here and yes we are screaming for more. As the visionary artist establishes his dominance in the music industry, all eyes and ears are on Hamdi as he continues to make his mark. After recently making his way to Japan for his debut tour, Hamdi blessed the sold-out crowd in Tokyo with a series of unreleased music including his ‘Counting’ EP remixes featuring none other than Sammy Virji, Taiki Nulight, Simula, and P-Money. The energy was out of this world, the venue was jam-packed with mosh pits being induced and those trap arms were out in full force. What more can we say when Hamdi has set the bar to the highest when it comes down to his live shows and immaculate production style. Whether it be dubstep, UKG, and grime, Hamdi has proven he can master any genre he puts his heart and mind into and we are all here for it.

Digging deeper into his official remixes of ‘Counting,’ Hamdi has called upon true icons in the music industry to take a stab at the original, and let us tell you they did not disappoint. Taiki Nulight’s pulsating slow-tempo madness sets the tone as wonky instrumentals and eerie soundscapes quickly take over. While Sammy Virji’s remix elevates the energy for the dance floor to induce all those boiler room vibes we need in our lives. Next up, Simula brings the heat with distorted elements and commanding drum and bass signatures. Ending off the EP with a P-Money vocal dub, the remix offers a fresh perspective to get you jumping up no matter what time of the day it is.

While Hamdi takes full control of the dancefloors during his Asia tour, he has also teased his unreleased Skrillex collaboration at Circus Tokyo which can be seen here.

TroyBoi has been having a stellar 2023. After kicking off the year by recruiting some of trap’s most legendary producers for the exceptional ‘Say Less’ EP and accompanying tour, he kept the heat rolling with stellar collaborations alongside Jon Casey and Armani White. Proving he’s not done yet, the producer has just unleashed a fresh five-track EP fittingly titled For The Love Of Bounce.

Offering something for every type of TroyBoi fan, the project is a diverse but cohesive sampler of his sonic mastery. ‘Cosmic’ sets the stage with a sun-soaked future beat bop that’s riddled with bounce and breezy swagger. The previously released Armani White collaboration ‘Shut Shit Down’ is up next and does as the name suggests. The track is a certified anthem that brings the best out of both artists. Sweeping listeners away with an exotic and sultry sound comes ‘Pyaar.’ It’s a perfect blend of TroyBoi’s love for world music and signature bounce intertwined in a fresh offering. ‘On The Field Like…’ is a sports-inspired banger that’s built around a catchy and unexpected vocal sample and proceeds to flip between gritty trap and shuffle-inducing bass house. Serving as the perfect finale, TroyBoi connects with scorching hot producer Hamdi and legendary emcee P Money for a ‘UK Ting.’ It’s an infectious anthem that is impeccably produced and led by P Money’s undeniable charisma and sharps delivery. Regardless of where you’re located, this will be your going-out anthem.

‘For The Love Of Bounce’ is an expectedly incredible offering from one of the most consistent producers in electronic music. Listen below.

What happens when one of the best producers in bass music connects with a grime legend? You’re about to find out. Ahead of the release of Hydraulix’s Imposter Syndrome album tomorrow we have the pleasure of premiering Hydraulix & P Money’s monster collaboration ‘GOAT.’

Dominant forces in their respective worlds, Hydraulix and P Money prove to be the perfect pair. Icy keys set the stage as P Money’s commanding vocals take the lead over the gritty beat. The raps are hard and riddled with swagger with lines like, “Test me and end up smoked, nothin’ funny about me I ain’t got jokes, overcame fights I came off the ropes, my heart is more pure than cane of the boats.” Hydraulix expertly strips the beat back to punctuate the bars before bringing in an absolutely devastating drop. Cavernous bass, out-of-this-world sound design, and some menacing trap grunts combine to blow listener’s minds. The verse is repeated adding to intensity before Hydraulix comes back with some more nasty wook bass. The chemistry and rawness displayed on ‘GOAT’ makes it one of Hydraulix best releases yet and a clear standout on his upcoming album.

P Money has been a favourite of mine for such a long time and when the opportunity came up to work with him the album I knew that I wanted to write him something I felt like he hadn’t done before: a more American-style rap intro with a crazy wook bass type drop. This one all came together super quickly and I knew it was gonna be something special and different for the album.
-Hydraulix

Stream ‘GOAT’ below and look out for Imposter Syndrome dropping on Wakaan tomorrow.

King P-Money. One of the true OG’s in Grime. Originally a member of the Fatal Assassins crew and later becoming a founding member of the Lewisham based Grime crew OGz, P is without a doubt one of the hardest and most solid barrers the U.K. has ever had. From Grime clashes with Big H which left his opponent walking off stage in two rounds, to dropping tracks with high profile artists like Giggs, there’s not much P-Money hasn’t done. After first releasing What Did He Say? all the way back in 2008, the traction has been continuous for the Grime legend. If you ever see P-Money on the bill, even as just an MC, you know it’s going to be a great live show. Drum ‘n’ Bass, Grime, Dubstep, House… he can keep going on all of them. He’s truly an artist with as much talent as you can get when it comes to all things lyrics. The vast span of his career has been impressive, but even more so by the fact he’s always stuck to repping Grime. Much like Wiley, (who is pasted all over the headlines right now) he’s always dropped Grime mixtapes even when deviating slightly from the genre in other ventures they’ve taken on. A P-Money track is 3 minutes to capture just how creative and stylistic he can be with his flows and punchlines. You really have to see the live performance to fully appreciate quite how good he is. That being said, here’s just three must-listens.

Where & When

Giggs and P-Money. You may as well just press play from that alone. Over a dark beat, these two sound quite frankly scary, hitting hard with every twist and turn throughout. Giggs is hard to outdo on a track like this, but P Money shines through.

Mistajam 1xtra Freestyle

Just admire the magician at work. 9 minutes of pure energy and stunning lyrical content. Easily one of the best to ever do it and this is just a sample of the greatness. Mistajam queues up beat after beat and P-Money is simply not phased.

Fire In The Booth

Even before he starts his verse, you can feel the hype. You know it’s going to be a classic and it does not disappoint. Charlie’s reaction was shared among the many after this Fire In The Booth, as P-Money took it as an opportunity to set the bar.

One look at this man’s mixtape history and it’s pretty clear to see if one mixtape has come and gone, another is on the way. After dropping Money Over Everyone 3 last year, it will be interesting to see what P does next, as with such vast talent, it could be anything. One things for sure, it will deliver.
