]]> Every once in a while you come across an artist with a wholly original sound, banging tracks and you can hear that there’s something special in their productions. That’s what you get when you listen to SØMETHING. The Portland, Oregon based producer/visual artist has been dropping a new track on the 13th of each month and their March release really hits all the spots. Titled ‘Pistons,’ SØMETHING pumps up the jams and delivers an absolute party starter.

SØMETHING has a habit of producing around 100bpm, which is odd for trap, but they pull it off masterfully and ‘Pistons’ is no exception. Starting with a dreamy atmosphere and a thick groove, SØMETHING immediately catches your ears and pulls you in before blasting you out of a laser cannon. SØMETHING manages to keep the groove and danceability of the track to a maximum, which is hugely impressive and adding the 50 cent samples are the perfect touch. SØMETHING has been making some of the most unique club bangers right now and ‘Pistons’ is an excellent example of what SØMETHING is about.
