]]> Toronto’s own Rainer + Grimm are trying something new! The house duo is turning to some groovy UK vibes with their latest number, ‘Talk of the Town’ – a tune which is perfectly accompanied by some proper MCing skills, from UK-raised Plain English.

There are multiple genres prevalent in the song. R + G’s signature house vibe lays very quietly in the background, beneath a large influence of grime, garage, and a bit of breakbeat. Plain English’s flow on the beat is nothing short of impeccable – the way his words bounce with the production really brings out the song’s melodic house aspect. Its simple yet snazzy hi-hat makes itself present enough (without overstepping it), to serve not only as a counter-beat to the general production, but also to the MC lyrics.

The release of the song also comes equipped with a music video!
