PREMIERE: Stereotype and room583 Reunite In Genre-Defying ‘Playin’ Heroes’

Although solo tracks show listeners the inner working of an artist’s mind, collaborations are a great way for fans to experience the best of their favourite producers in one project. Joint tracks are also enjoyable for artists, as it offers them a new perspective on production as a whole. Often, producers like working with each other so much that they can’t resist teaming up multiple times, because one can’t deny true chemistry. Back in October of last year, we had the honour of premiering Stereotype and room583‘s tribal track ‘Jungle Chaos‘, where their chemistry shined to create a bass heater. Today, we’re stoked to premiere ‘Playin’ Heroes’, another mystifying track from Stereotype and room583.

“After we made ‘Jungle Grave’, there was an interesting behavior on Spotify. At the moment it stands at 24k streams. So, room583 sent us a rough idea for a second collaboration and we started to play around,” Stereotype states when asked about how this follow-up project came to be. ‘Playin’ Heroes’ is a flawless mix of trap and future bass with a sprinkle of D&B mixed in to create an otherworldly listening experience. Drawing inspiration from the many genres heard at ADE last year, the producers flex their talents by wavering between head-splitting trap in the first drop and emotion-inducing future bass in the second. The meticulous percussion work is the cherry on top of this impressive track, as it points to Stereotype and room583’s peculiar attention to detail.

PREMIERE: Stereotype And room583 Unleash Chaos In ‘Jungle Grave’

The releases from talented duo Stereotype are piling in as of late. Last week, we had the honour of premiering their emotionally complex track ‘Help Me‘, and today we’re back with another wild one. This time, they’ve teamed up with elusive producer room583, whose most recent track dates back to over eight months ago. Whether he has been hibernating in his studio cooking up mad beats or simply busy with life, we’re super stoked to premiere his newest work alongside Stereotype titled ‘Jungle Grave’.

Sometimes, all it takes to spark a collaboration is a friendly SoundCloud message. When asked about how they linked up, room583 said “the guys wrote to me, expressing support for one of my records… a few messages later, we decided to work on a joint recording. I sent this demo to the guys, and they instantly broke into it and made it explosive”. Inspired by Wiwek’s famous sound, ‘Jungle Grave’ starts off with realistic bird chirps and a sinister soundscape to submerse listeners in a jungle-like mindset. This eerie introduction is met by a barrage of metallic synths and rumbling basses that will have any trap lover going wild. The second drop is even wilder than the first, with Stereotype and room583 showing their ability to step up the energy to another level.

Quality Good Records has quickly become the go-to label for forward-thinking trap releases. Their QGRC compilation series always stays at the forefront of the scene, showcasing incredible under-the-radar talent. They’re set to prove this yet again with the release of QGRC-003 tomorrow. For those of you who can’t wait to get a taste of their new release, we’ve got a special treat for you. Today we are proud to premiere Room583‘s ‘Jewels’ a day ahead of the official release. The track features a melancholy and emotive opening that’ll pull at your heart strings before it slaps you with an aggressive trap drop. It’s the type of dark and dirty aesthetic that made UZ’s Trap Shit series so illl, but with its own fresh twist.
