Rustie. Lido. Flume. All names that come to mind when thinking back to the original days of future bass. One name that is often forgotten but that deserves recognition among the greatest is What So Not. A true trendsetter in the electronic music scene, What So Not has recently impressed with his unparalleled versatility, but most of us grew fond of the artist earlier last decade when the Australian continued to innovate in the realm of trap and future bass. Among his most notable in the latter category is his take on RÜFÜS DU SOL’s ‘Innerbloom,’ a true classic worth highlighting once again.

RÜFÜS DU SOL’s original is a nine-minute opus that broke barriers between electronic and acoustic music. Despite cutting the length by more than half, What So Not doubled the ecstasy throughout his remix, lacing it with raw intensity and a natural festival aura that instantly appealed to the masses. The original vocals and emotion are left intact, but What So Not upped the anthem-factor exponentially to create one of his most iconic tracks to date. Dive into the ‘Innerbloom’ remix below.

Yvng Jalapeño is having himself quite the year. From having unofficial remixes and bootlegs for legends being released officially, to having his tracks played on bass music’s biggest stages, it’s only a matter of time until the Australian producer will start travelling the world to play these tunes himself.

The latest track to get the sweet Yvng Jalapeño touch is RÜFÜS DU SOL’s ‘New Sky,’ which he actually entered in a recent triple j Unearthed remix contest. Despite not winning the contest (but still being a finalist), we’re pretty confident that if FUXWITHIT fans were deciding, this remix would take the cake.

Taking the chilled out essence of the original and elevating the energy to new heights, Yvng Jalapeño strays from his recent bass house and trap leanings to deliver a euphoric flip of the soothing RÜFÜS DU SOL track. Displaying a versatility that is unmatched, the talented producer builds from the ambient aura in the introduction so gradually and seamlessly, before unleashing a rapture of exhilaration in a unique future bass section. Flawlessly separating the highs and lows of the track to bring listeners on an emotional sonic journey, Yvng Jalapeño’s remix of ‘New Sky’ is equally fitted for your chill playlist as it is for your hype playlist. Don’t miss it below!
