The return to routine after the December limbo has been wild. We’re all talking excitedly about a Bad Bunny album, we’re on the verge of losing the whole TikTok music scene and Skrillex is ready to hit our mailboxes with new material. Not bad for the first few weeks I guess.

If December is canonically a month monopolized by throwbacks and charts, January is the month devoted to IDs. As expected, in the past few weeks SoundCloud and YouTube have been flooded with unreleased-original production-deep dive mixes, stuffed with songs that could become hits in the next twelve months… or never see the light of day. It’s always a fun yet tricky game to play. You could spot an early banger whose knowledge you can flex to your friends at the next rave or find your new obsession that will never be available to buy or play on streaming platforms.

If you’re willing to get involved in this wicked game, we have handpicked eight unmissable mixes, spanning UKG, wave, trap, club bass, which altogether will feed you more than 100 IDs.

New Orleans production duo, sfam, are no stranger to the deep and mysterious frequencies that send tingles down listeners’ spines. Their most recent EP, Forefront, released on Wakaan, and their track, ‘Water‘, showcased how they’re capable of creating some mind-bending sounds, and they’re not slowing down. Today, sfam are back with a brand new track titled, ‘wheel dat back,’ where they continue to flex their depth.

‘wheel dat back’ begins with a mysterious atmosphere that’s filled with a sense of prolonged waiting until the track builds into a gritty, crunchy, gut-wrenching wubfest. The flow of ‘wheel dat back’ is constantly shifting, building upon itself in new iterations, carried by the warmth of the low-end sub, and it’s an all-around impressive arrangement that keeps listeners eager for more. The second drop of ‘wheel dat back’ is more sound design bliss, as some powerful crunchy sounds that sound like my speakers are getting ripped open come into play.

Be sure to check out ‘wheel dat back’ by sfam below.

sfam are no strangers to the eerie, deep part of EDM that some are too afraid to go near. With releases on Quality Goods Records, Wakaan, and more, sfam has shown that they’re a force to be reckoned with in the bass and trap community and they have their own original style too. Today, sfam are back with a single release, titled ‘Water’, that proves that they are comfortable in the deep end.

‘Water’ begins with a simplistic percussive beat that is sprinkled with minuscule droplets that ping between your ears, as atmospheric elements come together, rising in intensity and preparing a storm. When the pressure reaches a climax, sfam unleash a wubby lead synth that swirls back and forth like a water bender practicing their craft. sfam really focused on creating a feeling of push and pull on this track, spacing out the wubs with incredibly creative and simply effective fills that are either deep, undulating sounds, or crisp percussion. The second drop of ‘Water’ speeds up the pace a little and adds more variety by switching up the flow, making you feel like you’re on a boat with choppy waves rocking you. sfam truly knows how to craft a unique sound and then build around it, letting it become the centerpiece of the track, like they did here with their main wubby lead.

Be sure to check out ‘Water’ below and follow sfam to keep up to date on everything they have going on.

The trifecta you didn’t know you needed, Eazybaked, Sfam, and G-Space have pooled together their collective creative genius to serve up a piping-hot 3-for-1 special. Whenever a triumphant trio gets together, you can expect only the most fulfilling of stupendous outcomes. This time around, that product comes in the form of the ever-so-satisfying ‘Bubblegum,’ a tasty treat that keeps you obsessively coming back for more.

Putting the “experimental” in experimental bass, the hypothetical becomes reality, as this trio bends the air around you in ways previously not thought possible. True mad scientists of sound, ‘Bubblegum’ defies all laws of nature, harnessing an insatiable energy and irresistible groove that usually only accompanies one receiving their favorite snack time delight. With sound design so excessively sticky and gloriously gloppy, one can easily find this track stubbornly stuck to the bottom of their shoes. Using an eccentric, dark melody and sinister bass lines underneath, ‘Bubblegum’ quickly becomes a guilty pleasure, that quirky audible adventure that you’re unmistakably glad to be a part of in that current moment.

With such a veteran assortment of distinguished producers on this piece, it’s no surprise then that ‘Bubblegum’ achieves the level of user satisfaction that it does. If you like it weird, stupefying, and borderline otherworldly, this is a track for you. Check it out for yourself below!

Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, Great Dane‘s latest offering Delta Fly was given the remix treatment from a selection of FUXWITHIT favorites. Handpicked by the big dog himself, these producers twisted and mangled the LP into a too hot to handle distant cousin. While some tracks bark and bite, others snuggle up and show your ears the unconditional love they deserve. Needless to say, these artists absolutely bodied it.

Upholding their unmistakable left-field sound design, sfam, um.., Elle and Blake Skowron bring the squishy, squanchy and crunchy palette on their flips of ‘Basshead’, ‘Free Money, Free Times’, ‘Wumper’ and ‘Former Friends’, delivering a new edge to the project. Each track bangs in it’s own lane, but if you really want to have your brain dismantled I especially recommend the 2:32 mark in Blake Skowron’s flip of ‘Former Friends’. Samsin and aedfx. bring some Carmack-esque heat to the table with their renderings of ‘Bank On Me’ and ‘We Get Up’ that keeps us coming back for more. ‘Bandz On Me’ gets an especially savory handling from the don UZ, giving the already radio-friendly original an elegantly executed melodic trap-rap spin. Even the dog daddy himself took the opportunity to breathe alluring new life into his track ‘Lonely Ones’ with Katya Grasso.

Great Dane took what was already a memorable album and enlisted the best talent from far and wide. The project makes an immaculate addition to ADBC Records growing catalog of superb variety and will stick with us for years to come. Take a listen or two (or eleven) and be sure to check out the impeccably diverse all-star lineup of producers that helped make this possible.

Bassrush Records features an outspoken cast of contributing talents that span to cover every nook and cranny of the bass scene.

While Bassrush has consistently maintained a steady outpouring of audible content and a salient presence as a stage host for major events, such as Electric Forest, it wasn’t until the midway point this past summer that the brand further explored the concept of a roster compilation, as featured in the Ghost Town LA soundtrack, which features tracks from Bassrush dark dubstep front-runners Caspa, Ternion Sound, Coki, Eazybaked, and Bukez Finezt.

Now revealing the first chapter of a novel new compilation, The Prophecy: Vol. 1 works as a synopsis of Bassrush’s talent, composing 11-unique tracks including a long-anticipated collaborative gauntlet between sfam, G-Space, & Mystic Grizzly, as well as tunes from the likes of Esseks, Shanghai Doom, Abelation, FRQ NCY, and ECRAZE.

Encompassing the many eclectic sub-genres that bass has to offer, this new Bassrush Compilation is not one to miss. Be sure to check out The Prophecy: Vol. 1 out now below!

Consistently putting the “fam” in “sfam”, Michael Pearson and Jacob Hoerner have been intensely pushing the sonic envelope as of late. Curating engaging musical experiences all over the country, including most recently at Wakaan Music Festival in Arkansas, they’ve found their stride and are in a full-on sprint to major success. Their last EP, Shadows, released through Wakaan, has already amassed over 150,000 streams on SoundCloud alone in a little over a month. With support from industry legends such as Bassnectar, UZ, Dirt Monkey, Kai Wachi, and more, it’s no surprise they’ve attained the amount of growth they have in such a short amount of time. Now, we’ve had the great pleasure of premiering their latest track, ‘Counting’, here on FUXWITHIT.

“Amorphous” is a prime descriptor of sfam’s signature style, as their beats take on the sonic form of Play-Doh, fluctuating through airwaves with frequencies one would never even dream of gracing their ears. ‘Counting’ continues steadily down this path, utilizing the thickest clicking, crunching sounds one has probably ever heard. The sense of movement is absolutely wild, with spacing used to create this swinging effect that makes the next beat amplify its already impressive aggression, leaving one wondering what just happened to them. Using little spurts of vocals from ‘Still Cruising’ by Eazy E and The Game, this track has immense amounts of style and swag. If you’re in need of an instant confidence booster, throw this track on and prepare for your body to bust out dance moves in a frenzy.

sfam time and time again prove that their already spectacular sound has yet to reach a ceiling, with nothing but open sky above them. With time, support, and firm footing in the industry already on their side, this is a duo that could do really magnificent things in the years to come. For now, check out ‘Counting’ in all its glory for yourself below!

sfam have been blurring the lines between trap and experimental bass for the past few years. Renowned for their minimal yet incredible sound design, the duo never ceases to impress. With their upcoming EP shadows due out tomorrow on Wakaan, we have the pleasure of giving you an early taste of what to expect with the premiere of ‘Don’t Test Me’. Easily one of the project’s standouts, sfam connect with Mersiv and rapper quaviusblack for an insane ride into the darkness. Opening with the vocal loop “don’t test me, motherfucker I said it,” they let you know from the outset it’s about to get hectic. As the percussion builds, the track explodes into a brain-bending array of wonk. Distorted bass is layered with the haunting vocal and snappy drum work for a disorienting ride. Constantly evolving and progressing, the madness deepens with each passing second as it builds and drops several times over. sfam and mersiv are masters in sound design and ‘Don’t Test Me’ is a reminder that they are not to be tested.

sfam admit this one didn’t come together quickly saying,“the collab with mersiv took a while because of both our schedules being so busy and we don’t live near each other but we’re very happy we waited for it to be finished. quaviusblack brought a couple of the tunes to life vocally like he always does. He’s the only rapper we’ve ever had on any of our tracks and we know we can always count on him to come through with some fire.” We can assure you this one was the worth the wait. Stream it below and look out for shadows on Wakaan tomorrow.

EDM stand up comedian and distributor of delectably dense wubs TVBOO, and his accomplices in audible alchemy sfam, have melded forces once again to put a ludicrous twist on an already borderline-inhumane track. Premiering almost a year and a half ago here on FUXWITHIT, the original ‘Dahshigo’ dealt inordinate amounts of damage to bassheads’ ears around the world, climbing to over 110,000 plays on SoundCloud alone and garnering support from some of the most gargantuan names in the industry. Now, they’ve unveiled a true monstrosity, a variation in production so deadly the united nations outlawed the very mention of it.

The VIP begins much akin to the original until the first drop, where instead of immediately slamming the bassline down your throat it instead fake drops and builds to your utter doom. The drop trades the expertly crafted short, quick wubs of the OG with an absolutely titanic tsunami of low end that sings like a chorus of whales. Children, animals, and priuses should be strapped down in proximity for fear of being blown several miles in any direction. To answer the age-old question of “what does Dahshigo?” The only logical answer is ‘Dahshigo’ hard, excessively hard.

Check out the ‘Dahshigo (VIP) for yourself below and grab the free download!
