And with great success and attention to their other chapters, the label continues to impress and amaze the audience with mind-bending new musicians to take the spotlight. From hard-hitting arrangements, to jaw-dropping sound design, these artists are not to be messed with within the spectrum.

Musicians such as TWERL, Cyclops, Slang Dogs and more have all created individual works of art to honor the label itself as well as their own talents. Exposing many to the true future of electronic music. So prepare to have your heart stopped and brought back to life with this gorgeous new ten-track adventure.

The Prophecy: Volume 4 honors the past, present, and overall future of the label and its artists. Each track is its own spirit and lifeline.

With the UK continuing its campaign of promoting some of the most immensely impressive dubstep of the current musical era, it’s no surprise then, when yet another unreal compilation makes it way across the pond from European shores. Confidently bursting forth into the ring this time is the ever-immaculate DSV Audio, coming in hot with an even-dozen supremely spicy tracks on their latest Rebirth compilation album. Coupling this release with a majorly important charity mission, they’ve partnered with SANE, a UK-based mental health charity. DSV is aiming to promote only the most pristine of music from artists like Bainbridge, High Zombie, Jiqui, Sharps, Matt Doe and DirtySnatcha among others, while also raising funds for an issue that has never been this large of epidemic. What could be better than great music for an even greater cause? Not damn much.

Hailing from the frosty state of Minnesota, Bainbridge is no stranger to ice-cold production that sends shivers down the spine. Handcrafting some of the most vicious dubstep releases in all the community right now, it’s no surprise then that his latest ‘Skull Busta’ is as lethal as they come. Some tracks have a delightful purr about them when they burst forth from your sound system, but a true tell-tale sign of a Bainbridge release is thinking Cerberus is about to crawl out of your speaker and drag you down to the depths of hell. ‘Skull Busta’ is no different, lambasting listeners’ craniums with otherworldly levels of vehement violence.

Two of the heaviest hitters in the underground dub scene right now, High Zombie and Sharps, have been flippantly flaunting their flamboyantly deadly styles in their own regards for years now. Now, they’ve joined forces to bring folks ‘Contention’, a gritty mechanized war machine of epic proportions. Showcasing more punch than Mike Tyson and more layers than a proper lasagna, listeners will be left battered and stuffed with more than their fill. This is one rough ride people, so please secure your safety harnesses before entering the ride.

If you’re in dire need of some wobbly, grimy, goodness, man have Matt Doe and Jiqui got you covered with ‘Doequi.’ Bridging the gap between the grotesquely heavy abominations that are trademarked Jiqui, and the undeniable groove and sensational danciness from Matt Doe, you’re left with something truly quite special. A sure-fire way to get any room of people going wild, ‘Doequi’ really hits all the marks.

The last track I’m going to cover from Rebirth is DirtySnatcha’s melodic masterpiece that is ‘Take You Higher.’ Opening with gorgeous vocals that lull you into a false sense of security, you’re left practically defenseless once you’re firmly smacked by the punishing bass lines. One of those tracks that makes your face tense up and you let out an unconscious “oof,” you’ll be expecting the left hand and get the right squarely to the jaw. The house-centric switch-up for the second drop is saucy to say the least, and diversifies the energy in a big way.

DSV have crushed the curation on Rebirth straight out of the park, and are helping to bring funds and awareness to such an important topic in our society, especially right now. Let music and the community continue to be a guiding force in your life and lean on it when you need to. You can find a link to their fundraiser here, and check out the rest of the compilation for yourself below!

Refusing to conform to a certain genre and continuing to push bass to new limits have become Moore Kismet and SHARPS specialties. With the former recently expanding his horizons on a remix for Sadkey’s ‘Ought‘ and a super-futuristic original ‘Tokyo‘ and the latter coming off the equally diverse ‘Invasion‘ EP, the news of a collaboration between the two incited speculation about what monstrous concoction they had created. Out today on Never Say Die, it’s safe to say that ‘Mutant’ is an eclectic metamorphosis of two unique artists.

As one of the label’s most unique singles to date, Moore Kismet and SHARPS’ latest is sure to please a wide audience of electronic music lovers. Distant vocals lurk in the background of the ominous introduction as tension grows with menacing percussion and spine-tingling effects. The climax of energy is suddenly met with a sharp change of pace, as Moore Kismet and SHARPS turn ‘Mutant’ into a bass-clad sound design flex with a strong trap foundation. Peppering listeners with only the crispest synths, the two artists make chaotic sounds flow absurdly naturally. With a slight undertone of upbeat happiness in the second drop, ‘Mutant’ is the personification of genre-defying bass music.

As with Dr. Frankenstein’s monster, ‘Mutant’ is a conglomeration of various pieces from each producer’s arsenal that come together to form one oddly mesmerizing masterpiece. Don’t miss it below.

Building on a catalog of impressive remixes with the likes of Kompany, TYNAN and Tascione early in his career, SHARPS has consistently distinguished himself as a serious player in the bass realm. Never conforming to a specific genre, the Seattle-native has released trap and dubstep heaters on the industry’s hottest labels including but not limited to Never Say Die, Firepower Records and Circus Records. Following up on his MADHOUSE EP from four months ago, the bass aficionado is showing no signs of slowing down, releasing another massive four-track project, the Invasion EP.

Out today on Never Say Die, Invasion offers fans a diverse listening experience, bound to please a wide array of bass fans. The title track makes use of Area 51-inspired recordings to set the stage, before pulsating synths shine at the forefront of the drops in a genre-defying arrangement. ‘Collosal’ alongside Tiigers is a two-part journey. The first half is as hard-hitting as dubstep can get, with an aggressive bass-in-your-face approach that is sure to incite the most violent mosh pits, while the latter portion is more minimalist yet still just as gnarly. ‘Trespass’ alongside Tryple follows, where SHARPS and his Italian collaborator unleash more monstrosity with reverberating basses and metallic stabs. The fourth and final track is ‘Contrast’ with TRVCY, and takes a more melodic approach in the introduction, reminiscent of old-school dubstep through the soft chords and crisp vocal chops. Don’t let this fool you, though, as the two talented producers quickly flip the track into a quintessential dubstep heater, flexing pristine sound design and unadulterated energy.

The Invasion EP is a further embodiment of SHARPS’ rapid evolution as a bass producer. Check it out below.

Seattle, Washington based producer SHARPS continually pushes the boundaries of bass music with a refreshing, painfully unique style of trap which blends intricate build-ups with relentless, energy-ridden drops. First making waves on the scene with a remix of Boombox Cartel’s ‘Jefe’, his latest take on Getter’s iconic dubplate ‘Head Splitter’ confirms that this young gun won’t be letting up on the gas anytime soon.

[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/488160345″ params=”color=#ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false&show_teaser=true” width=”100%” height=”166″ iframe=”true” /]

The nostalgic wonky synth melody from the original leads the remix in a familiar direction, as the coveted pre-drop sample unleashes, the song takes a swift, deep turn. A grungy, crunching synth introduces SHARPS envious knack for eloquently crafted drops with expertly timed breaks and a rotating pattern of crisp synths and reverberating hums.

Further illustrating his ability to take an emblematic tune and weave in his own flare and tastes, SHARPS’ latest remix is further testimony of his unparalleled style of production. I am looking forward to seeing what he has in store for the coming year, and have confidence he will continue to test the expanse of his creative capability with each new release.
