Sinjin Hawke‘s debut album, First Opus, has attracted many eyes (and ears) since its release – including the likes of Alexander Lewis and KRANE, who pay homage to one of the album’s biggest songs.

Whereas the original has more of a retro-trap-hybrid feel to it, this verison decides to go full trap. It takes things a bit slower, and delivers an amplified sense of triumph, which adds nicely to the trumpet fanfare heard throughout. What really makes the song stand out is its explosive moment near the end, where it reaches for the skies with its high-hitting synths and heavenly melody. ‘Onset’ is available for download – if you haven’t started your summer compilation, this would be a grand way to kick things off!

Sinjin Hawke. Young blood hailing from Barcelona, Spain with a handful of tracks that bump hard in your car. I immediately looked up his SoundCloud and started going through his tracks. This up-and-coming producer has a few gems on his hands which are sure to set the clubs on fire. One of my favourite tracks is the one that I first heard, “Three Fine Hoes”. The pick up, slow down and drop had me hooked. Peep the track below.

Upon further investigation, I found that Hawke has a decent following in the 20 thousands that has been supporting his music for more than a year, but also that he’s been touring throughout Europe. Sinjin Hawke also has a pretty great ear for music. One of his tracks that I find to be bananas with regard to production is “Prom Night”. Listen for yourself.

Now this track is almost a year old but if this is any indication of what we can expect from Sinjin Hawke, then we can definitely expect some great beats to bump to. In more recent Hawke news, Just Blaze and the Barcelona native collaborated on a track together for the Red Bull Music Academy. Check our post on that here and peep the track.

I’m putting Sinjin Hawke on our Watch List as an artist to watch for this year. He’s got some heat and if you don’t believe me check out one of his latest tracks and the honorable mentions list.

This week the Red Bull Music Academy released their Various Assets NYC 2013. This is a compilation album that you can stream or download via SoundCloud which highlights artists that have recorded tracks at the music academy in New York City. To celebrate this release and the launch of the 2014 application process, RBMA gave FACT Magazine the green light to leak a collaboration between Just Blaze and up-and-coming producer Sinjin Hawke. The track is titled “One” and it bangs. For your listening pleasure we’ve added RBMA’s Various Assests to stream as well as the Just Blaze and Sinjin Hawke track.
