]]> LA90 continues their takeover of the bass world with a fresh halftime heater from newcomer Skorpion. ‘Problem Child’ is built around a raw rap acapella that’s bent, twisted and dragged into the darkness. “The goal for the tune was to just create something sonically banging that gave that funky hip-hop/halftime vibe that I was into at the time and still am,” says Skorpion. While there’s an underlying funkiness, there’s a clear layer of filth splattered across it. The sound design is fierce, only letting up for a brief haunting section in middle before coming back heavy once again. One listen and it’s clear that Skoprion is a “fucking problem”.
