It was been over twenty months since anyone last heard from French super-group Slow Hours. What most (or at least I) thought was a definite break-up has proven to merely be a hiatus, as the group comprised of Lain, Astre, Kultur, Khamsin, Kidswaste and Rusty Hook, are finally back with their first release since ‘Endless.’ Although the artists have been busy with their respective individual projects, it appears as though they haven’t abandoned the Slow Hours endeavour, this time time coming back with something different from, yet equally as mesmerizing as, their previous works.

As a note to fans regarding ‘Bliss,’ Slow Hours state, “when we first started this song 3 years ago, the idea was to explore new influences and let our creativity flow. It resulted in ‘Bliss,’ a different part of us that we hope you’ll like. Thank you for still being here.”

‘Bliss’ begins in a familiar Slow Hours fashion with orchestral elements and moving chords creating an ethereal essence. As the sixty-five second mark hits, the track takes a turn away from electronic music and adopts a indie-leaning vibe, as a melodic guitar riff takes the lead. Straddling the lines between different genres with ease, Slow Hours have created a lyricless yet emotional piece in ‘Bliss,’ delivering highs and lows in energy as they have done so well in the past. Leave your expectations at the door and dive into the beautiful ‘Bliss’ below.

The wait is finally over. The French supergroup that took the scene by storm in mid-2017 with their heavenly remixes for Petit Biscuit’s ‘Sunset Lover’ and What So Not and GANZ’s ‘Lone’ have returned from a year-long hiatus to deliver their first, highly-anticipated original. Ever since releasing a Too Future. guest mix almost a year ago, fans have been itching for the IDs riddled in the set. An EP announcement in November of last year had many fans’ hopes up, only to be let down by the silence that followed in the months to come. However, the roller coaster of anticipation has finally come to an end.

That’s right, Slow Hours are back, and stronger than ever. The group consisting of French producers Lain, Astre, Kultur, Khamsin, Kidswaste and Rusty Hook is one of the most sought-after collaborative projects in recent months due to their vibrant and unique take on what one may describe as future bass or trap (yet it’s so much more than that). Today, we’re ecstatic to share their latest work titled ‘Endless’, a track that’s bound to take you on an emotional trip.

‘Endless’ appeared as a wip in the Too Future. mix but has since been edited into a dynamic expedition through heart-melting soundscapes. Ethereal images are painted into a listener’s mind from the very beginning, depicting an environment lush with beauty. Wasting no time getting down to business, the supergroup then introduce an elegant vocal sample that is paired with a rumbling bass and crisp synths. In typical Slow Hours fashion, the second drop is a mind-blowing extension of the first, further showcasing their unparalleled approach to production. There truly isn’t anyone else putting out music as beautiful and emotional as these powerhouse producers; ‘Endless’ is a work of art.

Listen to the track below and let us know what you think!
