With Andrew Luce‘s Fool’s Gold EP less than a month away (June 7th) the LA producer is gearing up to set the summer on fire. It started with ‘Lanterns,’ an infectious warm weather groove and only further ignites with the release of ‘AH AH’. With intoxicating melodies, Luce’s signature snapping percussion, and vocals from Smokepurpp & Teddy, this is a certified summer bop. I’ve routinely heard people talk about the importance of melodies and “the vibe” over lyrics in new music. In most cases it’s a weak excuse for a lack of talent and lyrical ability. ‘AH AH’ is one of the first examples I see this on display and actually FUXWITHIT. Sure the lyrics lack depth, but that’s not what we’re here for on this. This is that drop the top, roll it up, pour up that good shit, and live like you don’t give fuck, type music.
