FUXWITHITFRIDAYS – Week 87

After another huge week of releases you know our FUXWITHITFRIDAYS is going to be killer. Alexander Lewis and Dabow’s nasty collaboration ‘Psychosis’ kicks things off with a bang. Skepta’s ‘Top Boy’ follows it up before we move into some fierce trap with tunes from Smookie Illson, Qasus, Baewatch and Beau Di Angelo x Bowie. Up and coming Toronto producer CARTEL brings some future house vibes with a rework of Bryson Tiller’s ‘Exchange’. We’ve also got the latest Film Noir posse cut from oshi, krs.,bnjmn, dutchboy, & tunji ige and an adventurous future club tune courtesy of NoxInBox and Dreamcasts. Have a great weekend!

Smookie Illson Keep it Heavy on ‘Skrilla’

Smookie Illson are back! The homies responsible for one of the best Missy Elliot remixes of 2015 just dropped a new EP. ‘Skrilla’ features 3 new originals and a remix of the title track. Kicking things off is ‘Skrilla,’ a high energy trap anthem that’s destined to find its way into sets from the likes of Flosstradamus and GTA. ‘Ride’ seems at home blasting out of an impala, chromed out with hydraulics. When that drop hits you can picture the whole whip hopping and the block shaking from the low end bass. ‘Puxxy Pop’ is a ratchet anthem with mind blowing synths and neck breaking 808s. The sound is somewhere between main stages and dingy basement clubs. Closing things out comes a remix from Smookie Illson’s Fixx on the solo tip. The rework is a genre bending banger with elements of club, trap, and house all rolled in one. Stream the EP below and cop it off Beatport.

Another Friday, another feature chalked full of heaters. This week we kick things off with a huge anthem from Smookie Illson and Fly Boi Keno (‘Beats Knockin’). Next up JSTR and Saint take us for a ‘Dope Walk’ with a remix of A$AP Ferg. Nick Catchdubs and Lambo x Doobious also bring some heat to keep things moving. Midway through we get weird and wild with the new collab from Herzeloyde & KRNE and an incredible ‘Chief’ remix from Nebbra. Things get deep with a new VIP from Jauz, another tight remix from Binary Reign and new rework from Wax Motif. Finally the Fabelle x Épais flip is Britney Spears like you’ve never heard her. Hell yeah! Friday is finally here and as you’ve come to expect, we’ve got a killer collection of songs to soundtrack your weekend. Kicking things off is Cesqeaux’s boomin’ remix of ‘Boa Noite’. Shortly after we’ve got two huge standouts tracks; Zooly’s twerked out remix of ‘My Neck, My Back’ and Smookie Illson’s rework of the raw classic ‘Ass & Titties’. I’ve been saying forever someone needs to do a fresh a remix and this one is on point. Another can’t miss is P.Keys latest flip of Troyboi’s ‘Forgive Me Not’, which Troyboi was quick to shoutout “smashed it with flow. Big ups”.
