Contributing to the arts with whimsy and confidence, Sully and SuperAve. join forces to bring us their brand new EP, Interflow. A two-track work of gold consisting of only the finest frequencies and qualities. Delivered straight to your souls. Paying homage to a new style of teamwork they’ve created from their wonderful friendship through sound. Creating an experience like no other. And teaming up with Wakaan was nothing but a smart and exciting move. Forming even more hype and static happiness from both fan bases. Bringing everyone together.

Both names have been very prominent and praised within the industry. And their styles aren’t too far apart from each other. Which makes their workflow even more flexible and adaptable for this journey. Sully with his intricate and unique bass designs, and SuperAve. with his dangerous and monumental flows, this was a collaboration waiting to happen. And now it’s finally here. Ready to destroy massive stages anywhere you go. Truly bringing the best out of each other with every piece.

Superave. and I first got in touch over social media about 2 years ago now after a friend of mine showed me his music. We became friends instantaneously and our running joke after working together so many times is that we share the same brain when writing music. Both tracks display the blend of our sonic pallets so well and that’s generated from the chemistry we have when writing together. COUNTLESS hours went into this EP to make sure it was just right and we’re so proud of how both tracks turned out. – Sully

The Interflow EP is a tsunami of raw energy. Experimenting with brand new sounds and rhythms while implementing both of their signature styles is simply incredible. Perfectly intertwining and forming a special and innovative aura sounding the project. A blast of inspiration from beginning to end.

The first track, ‘Mug’ contains bouncy grooves, monstrous sound design, and an impeccable arrangement. Immediately sweeping you off your feet with every element exposed. Completely driving the EP into a brand new light already. Demonstrating how fluent these legends really are with their creative abilities and innovative thinking. Shining to the highest degree. Giving off feelings of perseverance and empowerment. Making each section flow smoothly with grit and might. Taking you off guard in the best ways possible.

‘Slip Up’ will make any face melt within a small radius due to its violent and destructive nature. Honoring the dubstep genre entirely while bringing new tricks to the table. Swift movements from the drums combined with classic style melodies bring back real nostalgia while setting a course to a gorgeous distant future. Combining old and new characteristics in a mighty and suave fashion. So if you’re looking for intoxicating aftershocks, hypnotic environments, and more, this is definitely the move for you. We’re very excited to see where these icons go next. For now, make sure to go stream the Interflow EP everywhere via Wakaan!

You all know what time it is. In the spirit of October, Herbalistek and SuperAve. unleashed a monster track. This time, they bring us a piece called ‘Redux.’ Known for their magnificent and unique sound design, Herbalistek is a duo who knows how to get under your skin in the best ways possible. It’s clear to say you never know what to expect from them. With every song holding one surprise after another, they’re taking the underground into a new light.

As for SuperAve., he’s an artist whose pushing boundaries through sound and rhythm. His heavy and groovy bodies of work have rewarded him a known name within the electronic scene. He’s even released on labels such as SubCarbon Records, Pantheon: Anarchy, MorFlo Records and more. SuperAve. is working extra hard to bring us the latest heat no matter what.

To start off this spooky track, we hear some thick drums joined together with a haunting melody. Creating a feeling of curiosity and tension. A perfect way to start off a heavy track. Once the atmosphere opens up, we’re introduced to a hype buildup. Then, all of a sudden it hits you in your soul. The signature SuperAve. bass lead first makes its appearance. Playing a classic feeling melody to get you fired up. Right after, Herbalistek jumps in with their alien ear candy. The unexplainable textures within their work makes the perfect partner within this chorus. Everything comes together in a neat and fresh fashion.

But it’s not over yet. Once the second drop comes into play, you’ll be simply amazed to say the least. Both styles are joined once again. And this time, it’s a brand new feeling from the arrangement, to their violent sound choices. Transporting the listener into their creative minds. And being one with the song.

Herbalistek and SuperAve. brought the energy on this one. Make sure to go support by streaming ‘Redux’ on SoundCloud.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past year, SuperAve’s name is undoubtedly one you’ve become more than acquainted with. Bombastically putting forth an already trademarked sound on full display, he’s shown time and time again that he’s capable of releasing only the most potent of audible intoxicants. Sporting some of the bounciest beats in all the land, he successfully settles on the genre-border teetering finely between dubstep and the more experimental side of the bass music realm. Last year, he saw immense success from his ludicrous heater of a track in the form of ‘2047‘, which got rinsed regularly at some of the biggest festivals in the entire country. Now that he’s achieved true digital audio gangster status, he aims to hit the streets and level up once more with his latest thunderous release ‘Baadmaan.’

A tell-tale sign of a master musician is someone that can set a tone from the very opening notes of their piece. From the get-go, SuperAve solidifies a precedent of undeniable swagger and immense drip, with ‘Baadmaan’ making you truly believe you’re the biggest badass to ever walk the face of the earth. Utilizing spicy looped hip-hop vocal samples and an undeniable underlying danciness, the mood is more than properly set before the first proper deluge of existence-shattering bass turns everyone in the vicinity into a whirling dervish. Dense, rich, and all-encompassing, each drop is textbook SuperAve, properly gorging your ego to borderline tyrannical proportions. With a temporary god-complex not too far off the table for anyone gripped in the clutches of this enormous masterpiece, hefty warning-labels should assuredly be attached for the general public’s well-being. So, what are you still waiting for? Check out ‘Baadmaan’ for yourself below and grab the free download.

There are few names in bass music that can confidently say they have leveled up with each consecutive release, but I think it’s safe to put Blvk Sheep on that shortlist. Over the past four years, we’ve been met with one banger after another from Blvk Sheep, and it all recently culminated with his debut EP Dark Matter. This time the seasoned producer returns with a collection of remixes stacked full of some of FUX favorites.

It just so happens that I don’t even have enough hands to count the amount names on this remix pack that has been featured on FUX, but one definite highlight track is the COFFIN remix of ‘Wonksta’. COFFIN’s perfectly mixed hip-hop drums flow over the suspenseful intro of the track before becoming the driving force in the drop, while also filling spaces with these deep wubs felt deep inside your sternum.

Another highlight track comes from yet another FUX favorite, SuperAve. The track begins with this deep growl which seems to grow in the shadows as the drums slowly climb through the mix in the build. One second into the drop, and you quickly realize that SuperAve. is not messing around, as some of the nastiest lead basses led the way throughout the drop, along with some pounding percussion elements.

Once again, another FUX favorite delivers one of the highlights of the remix pack, with anti.’s remix of ‘Static.’ Right out the gate anti. comes throwing elbows with his classic thumping hip-hop drums and piercing hi-hats that jump out the mix. After a quick build, anti. comes through with this hypnotic lead synth that makes you feel like you’re falling endlessly down the rabbit hole.

Last but most definitely not least is yojas and We Rose’s remix of ‘Fearful’. From the start, it feels as if something ominous and aggressive is lurking with these dark industrial alarm sounding synths building the suspense perfectly in the intro. After a quick introduction to the drums in the build, we’re thrown into the madness that is the drop. Two seconds in and I guarantee your face is stank, and your arms are trapped out, as the lead synth is perfectly layered to give that grimy feel while also not losing those smacking drums.

This whole project gives us fresh and exciting takes on tracks that were already bangers. This one is definitely worth the listen, check out the whole thing below.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past 6 months, you’ve heard the names Smoakland and SuperAve floated feverishly around the bass music realms, excitement and childhood glee twinkling in the eyes of all that mention their names. With an emphasis on bone-crushing low-end and stylistically bouncy creations that make your body vibrate viciously at a subatomic level, these youthful artists still early into their production careers have already made a firm claim at being some of the most impressive up-and-comers in the entire industry. Now, Smoakland has taken all their accumulated experience and growth and wrapped it all up into their debut Modern Throwback LP, a 10 track thoroughfare of absolutely monumental proportions out on The Gradient Perspective. The third track in this immaculate body of work is ‘No Good’ with SuperAve, and we’ve had the great pleasure of premiering it right here on FUXWITHIT.

If there ever was a polar opposite title for a track, it’s definitely ‘No Good.’ Proudly displaying sound design that delicately romps through your ear canals while simultaneously pulling no punches, you’ll be left in a state of complete euphoria, bliss being the only thing your consciousness will be able to comprehend. If you’ve ever wondered what taking a bath in sound waves feels like, put this bad boy on and soak up the vibrations as they pour over your entire existence to your heart’s content. The vocals of “You’re no good for me, I don’t need nobody” courtesy of Prodigy’s ‘No Good’ are sprinkled throughout the piece and dance around your headphones courtesy of the ridiculous panning included within, a testament to the immense quality of this piece and the progress both parties have had in their individual journeys. If you want a track that will elevate your mood so sharply that you’re left compelled to bop around your house like your life depended on it, this is that track. You’ll be left feeling like a “strong, independent woman that don’t need no man”, or you might even throw on ‘All The Single Ladies’ next, who knows.

‘No Good’ is just one tenth of Modern Throwback, and if you were wondering, the entire rest of the album is of the utmost quality as well. Sporting eclectic bangers like ‘1975’, which rightly sports a Led Zeppelin intro, ‘Wooly’, a sexy groovefest of grime featuring the ever-impressive Molokai, a massive DNB banger in the form of ‘God’s Gift’, and the excessively saucy ‘Set You Free,’ this body of work is nothing to be trifled with, and is assuredly deserving of a full rinse in order from start to finish. All aboard the hype train ya’ll, these boys have a one-way express ticket to the top, and this is only the beginning of the adventure. Smoakland have been one of our favorite groups here at FUXWITHIT for some time now, and the success that they’ve had in such a short amount of time is incredible and wholeheartedly deserved. We’re avidly excited to see what the future of the group beholds, but for now, check out ‘No Good’ and the rest of the Modern Throwback LP for yourself below!

Two of the heaviest hitters in the underground bass community, Smoakland and SuperAve, have been steadily wheeling-and-dealing successful banger after successful banger on their own individual campaigns of auditory decimation. SuperAve’s first upload on SoundCloud was a mere 8 months ago, but they’ve already earned support from the Legends Zeds Dead among others, along with recently being the 87th installment in our guest mix series here on FUXWITHIT. Smoakland had a tremendous 2019 run, and in 2020 they already have major festival bookings, an album coming in April, and a guest mix planned with us for a not-so-distant release. Pooling their collective momentum and unique styles to max capabilities, they’ve blessed fans’ ears with their latest release ‘Telegraph’, released on the legendary Saturate Records, and we’ve had the great pleasure of premiering this sonic warfare device here on FUXWITHIT.

‘Telegraph’ is one of those collaborations that works so well you hope the contributing artists have a dual EP coming soon. Combining the speaker purr-inducing bass lines from Smoakland with the wobblier elements of SuperAve creates a listening experience that’s truly unique and exceedingly progressive. This is a perfect fit for a release on Saturate, as they’ve been one of the most forward-thinking labels in the game for years now. The first drop commands your attention, with a melody so powerful it feels like you’re receiving an organ sermon in the church of bass. “Psalm 420, thou shalt get down to these divine beats.” The switch-ups are immensely lively, bringing out only the most wild of dance moves from anyone within ear shot. The final drop is bursting with energy, and viciously slams your head back and forth in true rag-doll form, with zero regard for human life.

If this track is any sign of what’s to come from these two maestros of the underground, 2020 better strap in, because it’s going to be one hell of a ride. Check out ‘Telegraph’ for yourself below, and grab a free download here!

Despite making his debut on the scene less than a year ago, SuperAve. has already made some major noise. The talented producer first amazed us with his massive release ‘Astros’ via The Pound (Lost Dogz) last July. Since then he’s proceeded to prove his consistency with ‘2047,’ ‘Conspiracy’ and ‘Open Up.’ His style combines hip hop roots with brutal bass and wonky design. It’s not uncommon to hear classic Mobb Deep and Wu-Tang Clan samples sprinkled in amongst the bass heavy originals. Being a hip hop, and bass head I quickly fell in love with the sound and style, and I’m not the only one. SuperAve. has already received support from a number of heavyweights in the industry including Zeds Dead.

Staying true to our mission to bring you the best new talent before they blow up, it was only right we had SuperAve. drop a guest mix and connect for an interview. We discussed his hip hop origins, rumors that Super Ave. is a side project of a more established artist, upcoming collabs and more. The mix is an hour of heavy bass goodness, including a bunch of his originals, a few unreleased IDs and more. Dive in below.

Who is SuperAve.? What does the moniker mean?

Well the “Ave.” is short for Avenue. I’ve always gravitated towards the gritty, street aspect of bass music and I wanted a name that represented the feel and sound that I’m using in my music. And let’s be real, “SuperStreet” sounds too much like a car magazine.

How long have you been making music?

Altogether I’ve been producing for about 7 years. Like most producers I was making mostly rap and house music for a while on and off. It was about 2 years ago when I started making bass music. It showed me how much there is to learn and how good these guys are at making music. Once I dove into bass music I was hooked. It felt like learning all over again from the start.

Man, hip hop is my day one….But even back then I was always more interested in who was making the actual music and how they were doing it.

Your music contains an underlying hip hop influence. Can you tell us a little bit about your relationship with hip hop?

Man, hip hop is my day one. It’s the first music I can remember listening to. It’s what I remember hearing as a kid in the passenger seat and around the house. I’m so happy I grew up on that music and hearing those sounds everyday. It’s amazing to see the evolution from back then when hip hop still had some of its “taboo” underground elements to it, all the way to today where it’s the most popular genre in the U.S., I love it. But even back then I was always more interested in who was making the actual music and how they were doing it.

How did you get into creating bass music?

Like I was talking about before I was making rap and house music mostly. I was really trying to find a sound that I could identify with. A few years into making music I got put onto bass music around the time trap music was getting big. Instantly I recognized those sounds and rhythms and my eyes lit up. A lot of the music felt so similar to the music I grew up on and I was instantly hooked. Like most people who are into bass music, the more you dig and the deeper you go the weirder and wonkier your tastes gets. Once I found that I knew bass was the music I wanted to make.

There’s an air of mystery around you and your brand. Is this done intentionally?

For sure. I’ve always wanted the music to do the talking before anything else. I know we live in a content driven social media world, but I just want the connection to be with the music first. Before social media took over you really didn’t even know what most of the guys making the music even looked like unless they showed up in a music video or something. But all in all it didn’t matter, you were still a fan. It’s funny because I’m actually a very social person, but in this area I want to interact with everyone in my own way.

That started with some people and some fellow artists saying that I must be some kind of rebrand after hearing my music. I take it as a great compliment. Perks of keeping my identity below the surface I guess.

There’s been rumours that SuperAve. may be a side project from a more established artist. Is there any truth to this?

Haha! That started with some people and some fellow artists saying that I must be some kind of rebrand after hearing my music. I take it as a great compliment. Perks of keeping my identity below the surface I guess.

It sounds like you’ve got a few collabs in the works. Can you tell us a little bit about who you’ve been working with?

Yeah absolutely, I’ve got a track releasing pretty soon on Saturate Records with the Smoakland homies. A track with Sully that’s a real slapper. Working on a couple tracks with GvO, Super Future, Herbalistek, CreighFish and others. There’s a lot of music on the way. Stay tuned.

The SuperAve. project has existed for less than a year, are you at all surprised with the success so far?

Honestly I am. I’ve been honing in on my producing skills and my sound overall for a while now. But you really don’t know what the response will be until its out there in the world. Getting hit up by artist that I admire telling me they really dig my music is a great feeling for real. It’s also the random person that hits me up on Twitter or SoundCloud and leaves a kind message that they’re really into my music and to keep going. Those are special.

…you can create something, put it up on SoundCloud, and two weeks later it’s being played in front of thousands of people by two legends at Lost Lands. It doesn’t matter how big or small you are as an artist, good music will spread. I’m glad that’s still true.

You’ve received support from some major names including Zeds Dead. What was your reaction when you heard Zeds Dead played your track out?

It blew me the fuck away to be honest. It felt like it came out of nowhere. It’s so dope to know that you can create something, put it up on SoundCloud, and two weeks later it’s being played in front of thousands of people by two legends at Lost Lands. It doesn’t matter how big or small you are as an artist, good music will spread. I’m glad that’s still true.

What do you have planned for 2020?

A lot of big things planned for 2020. Of course more music, but also going to be playing my first shows early in 2020. I’m more than excited to showcase what I’m bringing to the scene. I love curating and having that connection through music, it’s going to be so much fun. I’ll be letting everyone know all of the dates very soon.

Tell us about the mix. What should listeners expect?

It’ll be a showcase of many different flavors of bass music. From straight mean mug dub to weird left field bass and everything in between. There’s so many different styles and flavors in bass music and I want to explore all of them. It being a new year I wanted to show off tunes I’ve really been into as well as where I think things are going. Keep an ear out for some unreleased IDs of mine in there too. Enjoy!

Amidst the throng of media outlets promoting the underground bass music community, an unsung hero has been steadily rising throughout the entirety of 2019. Electric Hawk, spearheaded by a talented group of youthful wub aficionados, have been keeping keen ears to the pulse of the blooming experimental scene, giving artists a platform to broadcast their individuality and creativity. To top off their year of tremendous success, they’ve released their first compilation album, In Harmony, an 11-track grandstand of thunderous proportions. Featuring tracks from the likes of SuperAve, Ravenscoon, Fryar & Matheny, Psyoctave, and many more, this is a compilation that will have your ears standing at constant attention.

[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/717205765″ params=”color=#ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false&show_teaser=true&visual=true” width=”100%” height=”166″ iframe=”true” /]

Starting off this body of work is Fryar and Matheny’s steamy collab ‘Under Pressure’. Featuring cascades of rich basslines and saucy “the best ever” vocal samples, this is a track that will fill you with the intense urge to put on shades at nighttime and bob your head to the beat. Dripping with attitude and style, this is a collaborative effort that speaks volumes to the attention to detail and overall prowess of these two fantastically talented artists.

[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/717205684″ params=”color=#ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false&show_teaser=true&visual=true” width=”100%” height=”166″ iframe=”true” /]

Taking up the 2nd spot on the album is Ravenscoon’s ‘GOTDAMN,’ a track that will have you unconsciously exclaiming its name in the throngs of passion. A deep, swampy, jaunt filled with so many layers you could almost consider it an onion, this track will thrust you into mental head spaces you didn’t even know were possible. The vocal sample “fuck me harder” is inserted to let all listeners know they’re about to get obliterated with grime, left quivering from these auditory delights.

[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/717205696″ params=”color=#ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false&show_teaser=true&visual=true” width=”100%” height=”166″ iframe=”true” /]

Batting clean-up on this team effort is Psyoctave’s track ‘Swing’, an absolute belter of a track if you’ve ever heard one. If you value your vocal chords you’ll stray far away from this piece, as it will have you howling from sheer brutality. The vocal “what” is looped, fitting as that’s all you’ll be able to muster in response, high-cognitive functions reduced solely to the most primal of responses. What exactly will you be swinging you might ask? Your entire being as violently as possible, doing your most spot-on impression of a hardcore dancer, limbs flailing around more than those inflatable mascots in front of used-car sale lots.

[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/717205714″ params=”color=#ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false&show_teaser=true&visual=true” width=”100%” height=”166″ iframe=”true” /]

The last track I’m going to highlight is SuperAve’s ‘Open Up,’ another masterful execution of carnal frequency savagery. Many tracks nowadays are described as “fat,” but this piece distinctly under the jurisdiction of “morbidly obese.” A veritable torrential downpour of bass droplets leaves your entire being in a state of general moistness, soaked through to the bone. Skip your morning espresso and just throw this bad boy into your speakers and let your day start off on the most energetic of high notes. The two things most likely to “open up” from this song are your eyes as they raise in shock from the punch of this piece, turning listening into a full-body experience.

With a year laden with hard-work promoting some of the brightest young minds in the music scene, In Harmony is a fantastic capping-off to 2019 for the entire team at Electric Hawk.

Sometimes you stumble upon an artist on SoundCloud and you wonder how you haven’t heard of them yet. Their music is top notch, but they only have a few hundred followers. This is the case when we discovered SuperAve, an up-and-coming artists with only 200 followers. Having only put out 4 tracks total, it’s no joke to say he’s new to the game, but the power behind his tracks tells us that’s he’s been working hard for a minute.

Starting with an eerie ambiance and a looped Bun B vocal chant, ‘Astros’ shoots off into a world of warm, gritty lead basses and analog-like sound design, that is reminiscent of Eprom and G Jones. With relentless energy, SuperAve doesn’t give his listener’s a chance to acclimate to the new world; instead choosing to flex insane sound design skills. The listener is finally given a chance to breathe as SuperAve charges his thrusters for maximum energy before the second drop where you are thrown back into deep space.

Watch out for Superave, he’s sure to make his mark on the bass music scene soon.
