1 2 3 4. Hamdi is here and yes we are screaming for more. As the visionary artist establishes his dominance in the music industry, all eyes and ears are on Hamdi as he continues to make his mark. After recently making his way to Japan for his debut tour, Hamdi blessed the sold-out crowd in Tokyo with a series of unreleased music including his ‘Counting’ EP remixes featuring none other than Sammy Virji, Taiki Nulight, Simula, and P-Money. The energy was out of this world, the venue was jam-packed with mosh pits being induced and those trap arms were out in full force. What more can we say when Hamdi has set the bar to the highest when it comes down to his live shows and immaculate production style. Whether it be dubstep, UKG, and grime, Hamdi has proven he can master any genre he puts his heart and mind into and we are all here for it.

Digging deeper into his official remixes of ‘Counting,’ Hamdi has called upon true icons in the music industry to take a stab at the original, and let us tell you they did not disappoint. Taiki Nulight’s pulsating slow-tempo madness sets the tone as wonky instrumentals and eerie soundscapes quickly take over. While Sammy Virji’s remix elevates the energy for the dance floor to induce all those boiler room vibes we need in our lives. Next up, Simula brings the heat with distorted elements and commanding drum and bass signatures. Ending off the EP with a P-Money vocal dub, the remix offers a fresh perspective to get you jumping up no matter what time of the day it is.

While Hamdi takes full control of the dancefloors during his Asia tour, he has also teased his unreleased Skrillex collaboration at Circus Tokyo which can be seen here.

With his high-energy sets spanning across the globe from Australia all the way to the land of the rising sun known as Japan, his influence of UK garage and house does not go unnoticed. To shifting levels with icons such as Chris Lorenzo on ‘Horn Porn’ and AC Slater on ‘My Peoples,’ this producer is clearly an all-star in the making. Joining forces with Dread MC, these artists are ready to kick the bass up with their lethal collaboration ‘Messi.’ With ground-shaking basslines launching off, intensified vocals convince listeners that Nulight and MC are firing drum claps just the way “Messi kicks ball.” Suddenly, these producers shift levels as a wonky bass-house instrumental takes over and leaves us in awe of more. With the bass-heavy beat getting more contagious over time, this collaboration is one we cannot resist to play all night long.

Two of house music’s most influential forces have finally unleashed their highly-anticipated melter of a collaboration, and we couldn’t be more excited. That’s right, Wax Motif and Taiki Nulight have finally delivered ‘Skank N Flex’ for all to enjoy, and the track in its entirety is better than what anyone could have imagined. Heavily teased in mixes from both producers along with legends such as Tiësto, Oliver Heldens, Zeds Dead and more, ‘Skank N Flex’ is a certified bop sure to infiltrate dance floors across the globe.

Featuring infectious vocals from London-based Scrufizzer, ‘Skank N Flex’ is an energetic combination of the Wax Motif and Taiki Nulight sounds everyone has come to love. A punchy four-to-the-floor percussive loop kicks off the track in high gear, before being accompanied by an eerie backdrop and a dynamic flow. When ‘Skank N Flex’ hits its peak at the seventy five-second mark, wonky synths layered over the heavy bassline take the spotlight to uncover your inner shuffler. The track is a high-intensity banger heavily influenced by the sounds of the UK but certain to be a hit across the world.

‘Skank N Flex’ is perfect to both sing and dance along to, so don’t miss it below.

Since the mid-2000s Los Angeles based producer AC Slater has been blazing his own path in the dance music community. Combining classic elements of house music with heavy-hitting sounds of UK garage, AC Slater was instrumental to the rise of the house sub-genre we now all know as bass house. In 2014, the house legend started his record label Night Bass, which continues to give artists from UK Garage all the way to house, a platform.

This time, the Night Bass boss returns with an absolutely massive 12 track project, that touches on everything that makes house music and AC Slater great. Hi8 is a tribute to the evolution of house music, and everyone that has made it what it is today.

Starting with the intro, AC Slater invites the legendary Dread MC to give a massive shoutout to everyone who made this project possible. Next up, ‘Bad Behaviour’ with Chris Lorenzo is a hard-hitting bass-house track with grimy synths. The project immediately takes a turn to a more melodic side contributed by ‘Final Fantasy,’ filled with piano riffs and the beautiful voice of Keleena Zanders. A few tracks later, ‘Attitude’ with fellow Night Bass member Taiki Nulight takes us back to the grimey side with heavily distorted lead synths and chopped up vocal samples. The last two tracks on the project, ‘Every Pigeon is a Dove’ and ‘Give Love’, take us back to the tender side, but this time with innovative sampling, sound design, and beautiful lead melodies. This is one of the most complete house projects to date, be sure to check out the whole album down below!

Less than two months after dropping his highly infectious Soundwave EP, Taiki Nulight is back with three more favourites from his Unreleased Mixtape series to further establish his dominance in the higher BPM range of house music. A true bassline aficionado, the UK-based producer is quickly becoming synonymous with greatness through his steady outpour of consistently captivating heaters, and the Outlander EP is no exception.

‘Donnie Yen’ kicks off the project in high gear and sees Taiki Nulight take his signature plucks and melodies to concoct an intriguing introduction. A quirky vocal sample flips the track into bassline madness with wonky synths and catchy fills coming together to form a true dancefloor banger, with the intensity never letting up until the very end. In ‘Want 2 Know,’ Taiki Nulight takes a more minimal, laid-back approach to groovy house without escaping the danceability of the genre. Although more relaxed, the song acts as a perfect transition between the first and last tracks of the project. Capping things off with ‘Trip’ alongside Sophiegrophy, Taiki Nulight finds a happy medium between the grittiness of ‘Donnie Yen’ and the minimal nature of ‘Want 2 Know,’ proving once again that the UK-based artist is among the best in the game. Don’t miss the Outlander EP below!

Among the most reliable contributors to the higher BPM versions of house music, Taiki Nulight never ceases to impress with his abilities to make any listener want to get out of their chair to dance. The UK-based producer’s knack for making everything from bass house to UK garage is unparalleled, displaying a consistency that most only dream of attaining. Through singles, collaborations, and remixes often teased in his Unreleased Mixtape series, there is no surprise that Taiki Nulight has quickly become a Night Bass favourite.

Now, the talented producer returns to the esteemed label with a three-track EP titled Soundwave that only furthers his dominance within the realm of groovy bass music. In the project’s title track, Dread MC’s vocals set the tone early, layered above a simplistic melody before a build-up of energy leads to the real highlight of the song. Intricate arrangements of drums and synths shine as the contagious rhythm of ‘Soundwave’ spreads like an epidemic as the track progresses. ‘Lil Mama’ alongside Shift K3Y follows in a similar tone to the opening track, with a sombre soundscape introducing the track and a minimal yet danceable cadence held throughout. ‘Turn It Up’ closes the project in full force, seeing Taiki Nulight up the darkness and energy with a crunchy bassline, punchy horns and crisp arpeggios keeping the livelihood intact.

Don’t miss the enthralling Soundwave EP below!

UK producer Taiki Nulight just dropped one of the best collections of bass house I’ve heard in months. After first catching my ear with releases on Night Bass, it’s his Sledge EP on Dim Mak that showcases how great his talent really is. It opens with the title track which pulls together war ready horns, wonky bass and some haunting tones.…

UK producer Taiki Nulight just dropped one of the best collections of bass house I’ve heard in months. After first catching my ear with releases on Night Bass, it’s his Sledge EP on Dim Mak that showcases how great his talent really is. It opens with the title track which pulls together war ready horns, wonky bass and some haunting tones. ‘Fire Power’ takes the dark sound even further with abusive drops and oddly sexual undertones. By the time you hit ‘Spray’ you’re surrounded by walls of bass that you couldn’t escape if you tried. ‘One More’ leverages an enticing vocal samples to draw you in while ominous melodies are murdered by devastating low end making it a clear standout. Closing things out comes ‘Void,’ a glitchy number that sounds something like inter-dimensional travel. The 5 tracks combine inventive sound design with a plethora of bass to create one of best bass house offerings of 2016. Look out for Taiki Nulight, this guy’s up next.
