Blessing us just over three months ago with his 16-track debut album Year Zero, the future house connoisseur known as Tchami has become a mastermind in the ever-growing future house movement. Flawlessly intertwining elements of deep house, UK, Garage, and more, the one we have been praising for both pushing his musical envelope and calling his own spiritual house sessions with his cathedral of productions, Tchami is one who is always one step ahead in the music industry. Taking a spin on Whethan’s uplifting single ‘Freefall’ featuring Oliver Tree, Tchami is inviting us to take an evening cruise with him as he provides us all the right vibes with his mesmerizing remix. What better way to celebrate Whethan’s highly-anticipated album release of Fantasy than with an official remix from the future house maestro Tchami himself.

Starting off with a bumpy tech-house inspired backdrop, gentle piano melodies only continue to grow louder as Oliver Tree’s stunning vocals draw listeners in. Remember those moments with your best friends cruising and catching the sunset while jamming out to your favorite tune? Well, this remix right here is about to be your next tune to add to that feel-good playlist as Tchami delivers a masterfully beautiful future house groove infused with pulsating vocals. A spiritually elevating melody that immediately brings out Tchami’s desire to start the year with a taste of his impeccable sound design. If there was one track that could glow up any room just from listening to it, it would be this one.

Determined to consistently showcase his innovative, yet uplifting sound, this Parisian producer is showing no signs of slowing down this year after dropping massive releases such as ‘Ghosts’ and ‘Born Again.’ After launching his very own imprint known as Confession, Tchami’s vision to support both recognized and upcoming artists is a trait many respect about him in the industry. Back again for a collaboration we never knew we needed in our lives, Tchami has called upon the one and only Gunna for ‘Praise’ and let us tell you it is only a taste of what is being unveiled for his debut 16-track albumYear Zero.

Flowing directly into an enticing melody, Gunna’s classic vocals intertwined with subtle basslines craft an irresistibly smooth sound to the ears. As hints of hip-hop rhythms and distorted frequencies become apparent, this combination is easily destined to tear up any dancefloor insight. Catching a solid groove with uplifting percussions and a whirlwind of calming instrumentals, the impeccable detail in this collaboration does not go unnoticed. Easily a crowd-pleaser for all those in need of blessings, Gunna’s soft, yet undeniably powerful vocals match perfectly with Tchami’s top-notch production.

Tchami picks up the pace, quickening the tempo from the first drop and keeps a highkey vibe that contrasts delicately with the more somber lyrics, “I don’t want to stay” which ring clear over the build up. In the break there is plenty of bounce, breathy synths, and catchy snares that keeps things moving and feeling light before the next drop into the funkier manifestations of this remix.

As Tchami winds things down, he strips the layers back, reminding the audience of the meaty house bass line and flirty groove. The fresh take on ‘Stay’ is just what this summer needs with its perky build ups, rich drops, and plump beat.

Rebel has quickly evolved into Toronto’s go-to nightclub for the biggest names in the scene to showcase their newest productions since its inception back in 2016. With a capacity of over two thousand attendees, the complex is home to many great events such as Solaris Music Festival and hosts legends on a regular basis. Aware of the venue’s popularity, French house legend Tchami decided to bring his Elevation Tour to Rebel for all attendees to witness his classics while also getting a glimpse into his upcoming album.

Acting as direct support for Tchami, we walked into Rebel while 13 was just jumping into his set. Despite boasting a completely different vibe than the headliner, 13 did his thing and played over an hour’s worth of heavy bass music, refusing to play the role of the opening DJ and leaving no energy behind. The set was remarkable as the artist switched from dubstep, to midtempo, to trap and more with ease, never losing the attention of the crowd and getting attendees jumping with unadulterated ecstasy.

As the house maestro made his appearance behind his new stage setup around 1:30, the crowd erupted in applause, reminding us why Tchami never forgets Toronto when embarking on a new tour. The ninety-minute set was a house lover’s dream, as Tchami played everything from classics such as his ‘You Know You Like It’ remix, to his newest ‘Proud’ and ‘Ghosts’ to give everyone a taste of his upcoming debut album. The show was a perfect balance of high intensity club bangers, melodic interludes and ethereal house vibes. Having seen Tchami three years ago, we were highly impressed by the artist’s ability to weave in his defining tracks with lesser-known bops, also diving deep into his CONFESSION label repertoire to keep things fresh and exciting.

Anyone who has the opportunity is highly encouraged to see Tchami on his Elevation Tour. Check out the tour dates here for more information.

Known for cultivating Future House through the creation of his record label CONFESSION, Tchami has been cruising the edge of funky house grooves and crests of EDM vibes for some time. He just released not one, but two new singles, ‘Proud’ and ‘Ghosts,’ from his upcoming yet-to-be-named, solo debut album which is followed up by the start of his Elevation Tour spanning Canada and the US.

If ‘Proud’ and ‘Ghosts’ are any indication of what the rest of this album is going to be like we can expect a bouquet of bass adorned with sensuous melodies and masterful mixing.

‘Proud’ starts out with a luscious house funk that develops over quickening synths and steady snares. Tchami uses his gift of musical artistry to stitch together the delicate melody that carries the silky male vocals. He also creates delectable tensions and lets the groove wash over all the drama. His palette of sounds pays homage to classic house while he blazes a new path with his unique progressions and structure, proving that he’s still the King of Future House.

[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/766302352″ params=”color=#ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false&show_teaser=true&visual=true” width=”100%” height=”300″ iframe=”true” /]

‘Ghosts’ has a fun, jungle rhythm perfect for an early morning dance floor. It has vibes of a The Last Track on a hot night out in the summer time. The romantic female vocals lilt and smolder over the throb of a deep bass line and powdery soft synths. Its a fun, flirty deep house confection, perfect to nosh on.

[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/766302337″ params=”color=#ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false&show_teaser=true&visual=true” width=”100%” height=”300″ iframe=”true” /]

These two tracks display the duality with Tchami as an artists and are testaments to his versatility and wide appeal.

Inspired by the sounds of Detroit ghetto tech and Chicago footwork scenes, Kris Barman has the ability to adapt any genre he experiments with. Whether it be house or even trap music, Wuki’s high energy and track versatility is what brings him into the spotlight. Taking a spin on DJ Snake, Tchami, Malaa and Mercer’s dance floor heater ‘Made In France,’ Wuki has just pumped things up a notch with the release of his high-speed remix.

With the recognized vocals to start the party anywhere around the world, the vocals are hit with distortion and numerous repetitions to launch right into whips of drum claps and slithering instrumentals. Exploding listeners minds with the amount of firepower released in the track, layers of bass and glitches of beaming sounds are firing off. Going even harder than the beginning, Wuki has just delivered a hard-hitting festival banger to prepare you for this summer. If you need a wake up call, I highly recommend this track for you.

CONFESSION label-head Tchami first graced our ears a couple of weeks back with his upbeat, groovy take on ‘JustYourSoul,’ before genre-defiant Eliminate flexed a fast-paced bass house twist to the tech-leaning ‘Pony.’ The collection of remixes is rounded out by Drezo, Born Dirty, Schade and Ibranovski – all names that are sure to make any house-lover jump with joy.

Pardon My French, the French House DJ collective fronted by world famous DJ Snake did not disappoint with their first show at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado.

Punjahbae opened the hotly anticipated show amid dark clouds and misty rain. Denver locals, they got things of on the right foot with plenty of bass, tricky mixing, and house funk that got all the early birds dancing. It was nice to get to see Pardon My French reach out to a local artist whose sound is both fun to party to but also pushes boundaries. Their fresh set must be just a taste of what is to come since they released their first mix this past winter- their first in two years.

Next up was Mercer, who threw down a more seasoned set, reflecting his prowess and classic house mixing style. Mercer definitely showed off his flare for more funky, throwback style of electronic music. It was just the right mix to keep the crowd grooving as the sun went down and the chill of a misty evening crept in over the duration of his set. His bolder-bass remix of Daft Punks ‘One More Time’ and florescent pastel visuals especially brought on the house party vibes and got the crowd hyped.

Tchami and Malaa stepped up to the decks next and played an extraordinary set together. They did not strictly stick to tracks that they co-produced but also collaborations that they had each done with other artists. It must have been Tchami who tossed out ‘My Place’ which he created with Brohug and it was a great way to introduce this duo’s passion for more modern house. It was amazing to hear many of their No Redemption EP tracks live and see the excitement come over the fans. The pair also threw out fresher beats throughout their set including ‘Curbi’ by Redeem, ‘Move to the Sound’ by Kitone and Siberian Express, and ‘Right About’ by Bellacour from Malaa’s Illegal Mixtape 2 EP. Their satiating die hard fans dressed in priest collars, nun habits, and balaclavas, which probably peaked some DJ Snake fans’ interest, and they paid homage to Notre Dame with stunning visuals of the church’s rose window stained glass.

Finally, DJ snake took the stage, and lit up the entire venue with powerful trappy tracks and a few of his incredibly successful top 40 hits. This included ‘Lean On’ and his more recent ‘Taki Taki’. He hyped the crowd, called out to the French citizens in the front rows, and laid down track after track of house, filthy trap, and plenty of bass. This performance was impressive as he presented his repertoire of catchy, pop hits and his fervor to push the boundaries of what electronic music is today.

Much of his set was a fluttering back-and-forth between these two poles of the DJ Snake aesthetic. But his flow was impressive as he shifted the crowd from singing along with Selena Gomez to riding the roller-coaster of emotional instrumentals that crashed into industrial metallics of his more futuristic tastes.

As DJ Snake came closer and closer to midnight (which is closing time for this truly unique venue), you could hear the murmurs of the crowd questioning and wondering if the four horsemen of Pardon My French would stand together; and then the moment came!

The entire venue caught a second wave, and jammed out as they played dirty french house beats, hyped the crowd, and overall demonstrated how grateful they were to have dedicated fans and to have the chance to play the world famous Red Rocks Amphitheater.
