I am, focused man! Hard to believe 13 years ago today Jay Z dropped one of the greatest albums of all time. Yeah, that’s right – thirteen years (because the fact that it is one of the greatest albums of all time can’t be contested)! The Blueprint was and is a great album from beginning to end and though you likely didn’t miss this bonus track, we’re celebrating The Blueprint’s 13th anniversary by featuring “Breathe Easy (Lyrical Exercise)” as this weeks throwback track. The beat courtesy of Just Blaze, becomes the perfect platform for Hov to flex his bars and lyrical skill. Though he has had much harder tracks since this, at the time this dropped Mr. Carter was running the game and his bars solidified that.
