Los Angeles based trio and live performance specialists The Glitch Mob have remained one of the leading examples of holistic creative potential, bringing an exceptional level of sonic diversity and live energy that has permeated every facet of the brand since the group’s inception in 2006.

While the trio arrangement has afforded Glitch Mob the opportunity to work primarily unaccompanied in their studio efforts, more recently the troupe has slowly rescinded their solidarity, giving rise to a new outpouring of collaborative efforts including ‘System Bleed’ with fellow LA producer LICK and the latest with Australian turntable sensation ZEKE BEATS.

‘Lazer Vision’ listens with the depth and impact of a well-oiled audible plot. A diffused digital melody is utilized to create an immediate sense of endearment in the introduction, which coupled with an expedient pace of percussion, builds heightened anticipation before ZEKE BEATS unleashes a surge of boundless freeform energy to round out this collaborative masterpiece.

The Glitch Mob & LICK Join Forces In Enigmatic ‘System Bleed’

Since the release of their third studio album in 2018, The Glitch Mob have kept a relatively low profile, hard at work making new music and touring with the likes of NGHTMRE, Slander and Seven Lions on The Alchemy tour. As legends in the electronic music scene, the dynamic trio have always released top-tier projects, and their official return to releases in 2019 is no exception to this statement.

In their first single of the year, The Glitch Mob have enlisted Deadbeats staple LICK in ‘System Bleed,’ a track that is sure to unleash chaos on any unsuspecting soul. With the latter hot off his debut DARK VIBE ORDER album, it comes as no surprise to see the talented artist earn his recent successes and collaborate with legends. ‘System Bleed’ is a conglomeration of two different yet familiar styles. An orchestral, drawn out introduction builds heaps of tension as it progresses, gradually climbing to its apex at the ninety-second mark. When the drop hits, the track explodes into a section of hard-hitting electro synths courtesy of LICK’s signature midtempo style. In a constant battle between angelic chords and grungy bass, ‘System Bleed’ is the true definition of a festival anthem. Don’t miss it below.

The Glitch Mob, TheWaveVR Team Up for a Live VR Show!

The Glitch Mob is partnering up with TheWaveVR, to deliver an immersive show in Virtual Reality! It’s going to be based around their latest album, See Without Eyes, and will take fans beyond a musical journey, to a whole new world of experience.

On Thursday, June 21st, at 7:00pm PST, fans can jump in to a free & live VR show which incorporates a 20-minute custom-made mix of the album. TheWaveVR’s CEO and co-founder, Adam Arrigo, describes it as “Part film, part concert and part art installation“. All the while, viewers will fly through several different landscapes/environments, which are choreographed to the album mix. On top of that, users can interact with each other and become part of the visuals themselves. After the initial live show, fans can go through a looped version of the experience at their own leisure.

Those who have an Oculus Rift or HTC Vive VR headset can join in on the visual experience. It’s going to be posted live on TheWaveVR’s app, which is available on Steam and the Oculus Store, or through TheWaveVR’s Facebook page.

Rezz Puts a Twist on The Glitch Mob’s ‘I Could Be Anything’

Canadian sensation Rezz has dropped a remix for The Glitch Mob‘s latest single, which is off their forthcoming album! Rezz and The Glitch Mob are avid fans of one another, so this is a two-way honour for both artists.

The tune sounds like a good, solid blend of both the remixer and original group. Rezz retained quite a bit of the original production, along with Elohim‘s vocals. Like Rezz’s general style, there’s a low, thick & punchy bassline present, particularly in the drops. This goes well with the Glitch Mob’s vibe – in fact, it’s somewhat surprising both of them haven’t gotten together to drop an official collaborative tune as of yet!

Not only has the song been glitched and warped à la Rezz, but the music video has as well. The gentle flows and transitions are now much jerkier and rushed, and the lighting/illumination in certain spots have been altered to suit Rezz’s style. (Think the red-and-white spiral design on her trademark glasses.)
