And with great success and attention to their other chapters, the label continues to impress and amaze the audience with mind-bending new musicians to take the spotlight. From hard-hitting arrangements, to jaw-dropping sound design, these artists are not to be messed with within the spectrum.

Musicians such as TWERL, Cyclops, Slang Dogs and more have all created individual works of art to honor the label itself as well as their own talents.
The Prophecy: Volume 4 honors the past, present, and overall future of the label and its artists. Each track is its own spirit and lifeline. From a trap masterpiece from TWERL and Avance, to a classic Riddim heater from Cromatik and Cyclops, you won’t even know what’s next due to their unique skills and surprises.

TWERL is a name many recognize in the music industry. A man of many talents indeed, TWERL has not only become widely known for his innovative sound design but for his ability to cross multiple genres flawlessly. Continuing to showcase his diversified sound, TWERL has returned alongside Heimanu to take listeners on a euphoric journey fueled with futuristic twists and unexpected bass signatures. For all those ready to be guided into the future of the unknown, you can trust two of Australia’s finest producers with the release of ‘Night Rider.’

Cruising with TWERL and Heimanu, the journey starts off with echos of distorted vocals intertwined with high-pitched frequencies which get stronger along the way. With elements of surprise clearly in these producers’ favor, listeners are welcomed into the beauty of melodic bass. As the tempo begins to slowly rise, TWERL and Heimanu begin to shift levels which resembles these producer’s sonic adaptability. Riding through the sound of the future, hints of captivating vocals phase in and out which provide a sense of euphoria to the listener. Unarguably the perfect fit for Dark Machine Records, TWERL and Heimanu share:

“When ShockOne told us he was starting a new label, we knew we had the perfect track. ‘Nightrider’s’ dark and moody tone sounded like it would be a great fit for Dark Machine Records.”

Jayden Healey’s passion to explore numerous genres has enabled him to create his own path music industry. Whether it be his filthiest trap signatures or a taste of those upbeat groovy basslines, the Perth-based producer known as TWERL is capable of crafting any genre he pleases and let me tell you he absolutely nails it every time. Now, you may ask why TWERL is one of our favorites here at FUXWITHIT and the answer lies within his humble personality and not to mention his production style fueled with pure creativity and raw emotion. Whether it be getting together with his friends to explore their creativity and produce a special benefit record in support of the devastating wildfires in Australia, or travelling to the land of the rising sun to throw down at SnowMachine Japan’s official launch party, TWERL’s motivation to always push forward together as a community is a reason why his audience is able to connect with him on a deeper level. Further exemplifying his impeccable sound design one single at a time, TWERL is shifting levels within the realm of electronic music with his release of ‘Killerz’ which is out now on Elysian Records.

With an intensive build up consisting of echoing vocals introducing you to an “exciting new sound” created by this eclectic producer. This adrenaline pumping single definitely showcases TWERL’s heavy take on bass-house along with a side of grimy and face-melting instrumentals. Filling your speakers with pure enjoyment, the drops begin to mutate upon each other with a series of mechanical synths, gruesome basslines and an extensive array of lasers to open up the doors to both house and bass fanatics. If there was a track to bring out a bass face while simultaneously initiating a twisted groove along the way, TWERL has just delivered it.

Tell us a bit about what to expect from the mix. If it was a movie, what would the tagline be?

It’s a bit of a roller-coaster, not gonna lie. Expect a bunch of ID’s from myself and friends, and a lot of genre switching. “An epic mix of epic epicness”

You can kind of just zone out and do your own thing, but if you need anything there is such a great creative scene over here.

How do you like Perth? What’s your favorite thing about where you live?

I love Perth. Obviously we are so isolated from everyone but I love that, you aren’t pressured by what everyone else is doing which would normally impact your work. You can kind of just zone out and do your own thing, but if you need anything there is such a great creative scene over here. Something for everyone.

Have you been personally affected by the wildfires at all? What’s it like being so close to this disaster?

I am on the other side of the country but a lot of my friends on the East Coast have been heavily impacted which is terrible to see. At the same time though it’s so amazing to see everyone around the world trying to pitch in and do their bit to get our country back on their feet.

You recently had the chance to get in the studio with some of Perth’s finest for a mega-collab. How did this come together? What was the experience like? All the proceeds are going to charity right?

Correct! It was really an amazing experience. A bunch of friends getting together to do our bit to help with what’s going on, also seeing how we all work creatively was great and very inspiring. All proceeds will be going to Red Cross Australia which is a charity. We also have a shirt available for purchase too so keep an eye out for that if you haven’t already seen it on the link!

The EP is very diverse… No specific genre, all experimental stuff. There might even be some in the mix ;)

Your style has varied a fair bit over the years, from hard and filthy, to upbeat and vibey. What direction are you headed with the upcoming EP?

As you know I hate sticking to one style, and I’m thankful my fans allow me to do that. The EP is very diverse… No specific genre, all experimental stuff. There might even be some in the mix ;)

What else can you tell us about the project? Do you have a release date or label locked in?

I can’t say too much but we are just finalising everything, labels take a long time unfortunately. If it were up to me I would’ve had it out in December along with more content. But trust me when I say there is a lot of music coming this year.

I know you’re a big hip-hop fan, who are your favourite rappers right now and why?

Have you been stalking me??? I’m really digging KEY, Gunna, Denzel Curry, Slowthai and Shadow at the moment.

switch out the time you take to watch Netflix or porn and you’ll see how much you can actually get done. No excuses, if you want it then you’ll get it.

Do you currently do music full time? What ways can recommend to artists to make money outside of the obvious (streaming, shows, etc.)? Do you have any advice for balancing a music career and a 9 to 5?

I do, but I also teach Ableton and other music stuff online. Mix/master stuff, some ghost writing for people etc. It is really hard to make a living off music and it’s taken me years to get to the point where I can do it and even still I have a long way to go. The best advice I can give for someone trying to find that balance is to find a job where you can have enough time to come home and still do your daily tasks and have enough time to sit down and do music. Or if you can’t switch jobs, switch out the time you take to watch Netflix or porn and you’ll see how much you can actually get done. No excuses, if you want it then you’ll get it.

…if someone wants to be in the industry I don’t have a problem with helping them reach their goal.

Have you ghost written a lot of tracks for other artists? This practice seems to be pretty controversial in the industry. I’m guessing you don’t have a problem with it though? What made you want to start ghost producing?

I have done a bit but more so just writing for pop or hip hop artists, nothing I’m allowed to talk about though haha. The stuff I have done for other producers is fine to me, if someone wants to be in the industry I don’t have a problem with helping them reach their goal. If someone asked you to write their articles for them in exchange for $$$ I’m sure you’d find it hard to say no :p

Last year the Cleveland Cavaliers used your song ‘Bound’ for their promo video. How did that come to be? What did it feel like to see your music leveraged in that way?

That was so wild! I randomly got tagged in the Cavs post one morning by the rapper on the song (Von Alexander – amazing rapper check him out). Honestly have no idea how they came across the song but it was a great feeling seeing that, especially considering that was the track off the EP that got the least amount of exposure.

There seems to be a constant stream of incredible talent coming out of Australia. Can you give us 5 Aussie artists that you think are next up?

There really is! My top 5 that will dominate the WORLD this year are Avance, Leotrix, Godlands, Aeterna and Badrapper.

What has you most excited for in 2020?

All the music I’ll be releasing and travel I’ll be doing. Finally heading over to the states in May so I get to meet a bunch of online friends and collaborators I’ve known for years, and get to jump into some big session too. Can’t wait!

The devastation of the Australian wildfires has been widely reported over the last several weeks. From the staggering number of animals succumbing to the fires, to the people affected and homes destroyed, it’s been an absolute disaster. In an effort to help those affected, five of Perth’s finest producers have banded together to create a benefit record aptly titled ‘INFERNO.’ “We live in such an incredible country and it’s really upsetting to see it burning away. We’re sending our love and support from West Australia but know that money is desperately needed,” Fletcher of SLUMBERJACK states.

The track sees Slumberjack, ShockOne, Twerl, HWLS & Loston coming together for a work that’s nothing short of epic. “There is so much emotion in the song and that’s exactly what we wanted the listeners to feel, how much emotion there is in our country right now over what’s happening,” Twerl explains. He’s certainly not overselling it. ‘INFERNO’ is one of most moving and impactful electronic records in recent time. Leveraging samples from news coverage, the track reminds listeners of the intense reality being faced in Australia right now. Add in haunting vocal bends, somber undertones and intense drums and the intro is gripping. The drops hit hard, powerful enough to go off at a festival or club, but packing so much more within them. Poignant and powerful, ‘INFERNO’ is a political statement, a work of art, and a great way to help a country in need.

How does a collab this massive come together? “Well originally Scott (Loston) had a benefit show planned in Perth, where a bunch of creatives were going to come together for a show to raise as much awareness and money as possible but unfortunately it couldn’t go ahead. So I thought, why don’t we all get in the studio for a giant collab to raise some money? So that’s exactly what we did. Scott also did some amazing artwork and made a fkn dope shirt that will be available to purchase too, all profits for that will be donated.” Twerl tells us. He expanded upon the charitable efforts saying, “Proceeds will be going to Red Cross Australia. They were chosen because they are a reputable charity organisation who’ve operated over 100 years in Australia. On the Bandcamp $2 will get you two versions of ‘INFERNO,’ but you can actually donate as much as you want. Any little bit helps! We thank everyone in advance for your support in such hard times, it means a lot to a lot of people.”

Stream ‘INFERNO’ below and donate to download and grab the merch here. If you’re looking to donate further, head over to the Australian Red Cross. Australians tend to loosely use the term legend, but Slumberjack, ShockOne, Twerl, HWLS & Loston are bloody legends for this one in the truest sense.

After accompanying Alison Wonderland on her AWAKE Tour in Japan last year, Australian producer TWERL is becoming a familiar name in the trap and bass scene. Given his recent release of ‘Follow Me’ which lures listeners into Jayden Healey’s mind of creativity, raw emotion and not to mention a snaring baseline. You are in for a treat as this rising producer is always one step ahead when it comes to delivering a massive amount of energy driven by his dynamic sound. With no surprise, Healey has just dropped a euphoric remix of LDRU and Boo Seeka’s ‘Ruler’ portraying another dimension of trap music through incorporating a futuristic sound infused with sonic elements.

As Healey prepares to take his listeners on a journey built upon waves of sub-bass frequencies and mystic instrumentals, Boo Seeka’s powerful vocals flow immaculately with a rhythmic build up of drum claps. Taking off, subtle percussion and high pitched frequencies begin to softly phase in and out of the track. With precision as a key element in Healey’s production style, floating through his styles of experimental rhythms fused with Boo Seeka’s pacifying vocals only proves that this producer is here to make his mark in the industry. Be sure to keep TWERL on your radar as you will not want to miss this dynamic producer in action.

One of the first prodigious musical talents to capitalize on the freedom and limitless potential that SoundCloud has to offer, Jayden Healey has become a bit of an icon in the underground electronic music scene. Producing and performing a sensational variety of synth-woven originals and thoughtfully accoutred remixes under his alias TWERL has allowed the talented Australian-native to maintain a remarkable sense of progression and originality over the course of a prevailing 5-year career.

Making his debut appearance with Quality Goods Records, ‘Follow Me’ beautifully exemplifies the dexterity and complexity of Healey’s craft, vividly delineating an ability to compose contrasting elements to create a gripping sense of disparity and raw emotion within a single track. A pixelated vocal sample and feathery, reverberant flutes create an immediate impression of appetency, catalyzing a precise symphony of snares that build a distinct contrast in tempo within the track. Re-introducing a distorted rendition of the vocals, Healey flips the script entirely, diving head-first into a pungent metallic lead before unleashing a torrent of quivering bass.

“I was stoked to work on this track with TWERL as we’ve had a great workflow this year with our past two releases.”

–Max Styler

The two artists have worked together before, namely with the track ‘Wasted Time‘. Their take on ‘Color Blind’ retains Xan’s lyrics, making it perfect for singing purposes. It also brings together elements found in each artist’s general style(s), one example being Styler’s use of wavy synths in the past, which are most prevalent during the drops of this remix. (This is but a speculation, though.)

The overall product is an atmosphere which feels and holds on to the original’s uplifting & light-hearted nature, and gives it a bouncier twist, complemented by a heavier bassline. The ‘Color Blind’ remix is part of Diplo’s California (Remixes) pack, out now via Mad Decent/Columbia Records.
