]]> Navigating the murky depths of the experimental bass community lies two champions of sound, Paul Conversano and Nick Charles, or Ravenscoon and Viskus respectively. Ravenscoon started his music journey making Bassnectar inspired mixes on SoundCloud, and has taken the deep dive into producing ethereal, yet heavy soundscapes that move people both physically and spiritually. Viskus is no stranger to wild, wonky undulations, with a major emphasis on wiggly bass lines and delightful arrangements. Now, they’ve teamed up for their 2nd collaborative effort in the form of ‘Dirty South’ a thick, full-bodied banger that we’ve had the pleasure of premiering for you today right here on FUXWITHIT.

With Ravenscoon originally from Atlanta, Georgia and Viskus hailing from Austin, Texas, you know they had to represent it proper with this release. Aaliyah’s ‘Are You That Somebody?’ provides the eccentric vocals for this piece, pitched downwards to create a more raw, intimidating atmosphere. The vocal loops of “dirty south, can ya’ll really feel me?” guide you with an out-stretched hand to the preposterous first drop, leaving you absolutely sure you experienced ever iota of immense grime. The drops exude this exceptionally heavy, yet sensual energy that makes your body contort in wonderful ways you didn’t even know possible. Just when you’ve thought you’ve bore the full brunt of the audible assault, you’re greeted with immaculately crafted builds that drop you into yet another tidal wave of scrumptious speaker purrs. The production throughout the entirety of the piece is absolutely top-notch, and a joy to rinse through high-quality sound systems. Festival season beware, this track is going for the kill shot.

‘Dirty South’ is a sure-fire success for these two southern boys, with a perfect concoction of their two distinct styles into a greasy, delicious sonic affair. Both acts will surely be can’t-miss performances throughout the entirety of the summer, and are assuredly worth making a hearty trek to see. ]]> Bringing you your daily dose of wobbly goodness, Matthew Cook, or IntiKon, has just reached a tremendous career milestone in releasing through arguably the most wub-filled label in all the land, SubCarbon Records. Tag-teaming this sonic venture with Spicy Boi Viskus, who is fresh off his beginning of the year re-branding, these two have concocted a track so swampy Shrek berates people to get away from it. Articulating wonky wook wildness via grime-filled vibration, this piece could be the audible embodiment of getting slimed on the old Nickelodeon. Its sharp melody and full-bodied bass line create this almost power struggle in your brain of which dance move to whip out next. Do I whip my arm out and bust it low? Or do I hold my head in utter disbelief while grimacing over the musical sandstorm gracing my ear canals?

‘Higher Self’ will transcend listeners to an elevated plane of existence as their atoms are vibrated at a godly frequency, making you fully inebriated on sound as you get baptized by bass. Did you drink too much wine at Communion? Or did you have this song on repeat for too long and get back-handed by noise? All I can tell you for sure is that this is a track that you’re obligated to attain peak levels of weirdness during, and with a magnificent grin on your face while doing it.
