Phlegmatic Dogs & Volac Drop Dark House Compilation ‘Russian Style’

House music legends Phlegmatic Dogs & Volac have teamed up to bring a heavy-hitting compilation to Night Bass, titled Russian Style. The four track project has two original tracks from each artist, as well as remixes of each other’s tracks.

‘Bastard’ by Phlegmatic Dogs is a high-energy dance track that is sure to make shufflers break out in droves. Utilizing a driving bass line and fresh fills, ‘Bastard’ is a stand out on this EP. ‘Tell You’ by Volac is the second track in the compilation and Volac didn’t hold back on showcasing their production skills, filling out the track with crazy leads and clean female vocals. Phlegmatic Dogs remixed ‘Russian Style’, originally made by Volac, and the Dogs brought a dark, heavy energy to their remix. Lastly, we have Volac’s remix of ‘Cuatrocats.’ Volac brings the track to another level on this remix, giving it a darker vibe that fits Night Bass perfectly.

Volac & Destructo flip Fergie On ‘What I Got’

Volac have been making some serious noise in the past few months with a placement on Dr. Fresch’s The Prescription series, an EP on Night Bass, and their own Volacast mix series. Today they’re back with their biggest release yet, a collaboration with the legend Destructo. ‘What I Got’ is built upon the poppy and familiar vocals of Fergie’s smash hit ‘Fergalicious.’ Although the vocals may be sweet, don’t think this one is soft. From the outset it brings barrels of bass that are dark as the abyss. The contrast of easy to sing along to vocals and dark wobbles make this an easy bet for a club killer.
