It has been a year since Austin-based trio Wavedash unleashed their debut, genre-fluid album, World Famous Tour. In the twelve track project, the artists demonstrated that they can execute a plethora of genres at an elite level. From showcasing heavier cuts that date back to the origins of Wavedash to pushing future bass to new heights, the trio have proven time and time again that they are talented beyond their years.

Now, Wavedash welcome a new chapter to their musical endeavours with their first single since the album, ‘Skydive.’ The track is an enthralling mixture of the various influences that define Wavedash, merging high-octane intensity with euphoric soundscapes. ‘Skydive’ lives up to its name, giving listeners a sense of sheer exhilaration as it progresses from a curious introduction into a fully-fledged festival-ready drop. The track is not overly complex, but it’s exciting and fresh.

In the words of the trio, “A new era begins. Sitting on a record for 4 years is a thing of the past for us now. We’re putting out the sound we want, when we want.” ‘Skydive’ might be the first of many. Don’t miss it below.

Proving to be versatile well beyond their years, Austin-based trio WAVEDASH have set the bar high for their upcoming debut album, World Famous Tour. With a trifecta of singles under their belt spanning a multitude of influences and defying conventions, Gavin, Luke and Michael have demonstrated that the best way to prepare for their upcoming album is to set aside any confines of genres. From the infectious ‘Dummo Loop‘ to the euphoric ‘By Any Means,’ WAVEDASH are continuing to prove that they are among the best innovators in the scene.

Now, the fourth and final single from World Famous Tour is out today via Gud Vibrations, and fans of the older WAVEDASH material are in for a real treat. Gritty and aggressive with that touch of creative WAVEDASH flair, ‘Lemon Nades’ featuring Noon is a display of pure bass mastery, drawing inspiration from 90’s UK rave and jungle MC culture but peppered with a modern flair. Crisp vocal samples and chaotic stabs of bass are a recurring theme throughout ‘Lemon Nades’ as the track boasts a relentless intensity that never lets up. It’s rare that a track that is impossible to categorize turns out to be a festival favourite, but we’re certain ‘Lemon Nades’ wil set crowds ablaze as soon as physically possible. Don’t miss WAVEDASH’s latest below.

WAVEDASH are a trio that stormed onto the scene with an innovative approach to dubstep, earning the respect from the biggest names in the game very early in their career. The fact that they’ve managed to continue to create unique pieces since then is proof that their early days were no fluke. Recently, the talented producers have found a welcome home on Gud Vibrations, with their latest two singles alongside Shadient released on the imprint.

Now, WAVEDASH look to not only make a mark, but leave a dent, on the electronic music scene via Gud Vibrations with the upcoming release of their debut album, World Famous Tour. As a project that has been a long-time coming, many are excited to hear the direction WAVEDASH have chosen to take on this body of work, but if there is one certainty, it’s that the album is sure to be a diverse ensemble with a wide array of hits, and the first single from World Famous Tour titled ‘Dummo Loop’ is direct evidence.

Leave expectations at the door before pressing play, as ‘Dummo Loop’ is not your typical WAVEDASH bass brute. Instead, it’s a light-hearted and fun piece that is sure to put a smile on any listener’s face. As a single “meant to embody the hedonistic and carefree energy felt when enjoying life’s simple and sweet nectar,” ‘Dummo Loop’ is a perfect introduction to what the future holds for WAVEDASH, embracing a new-found sound with open arms. Don’t miss their latest hit below.

WAVEDASH and Shadient are quickly becoming a favourite for go-to collaborations. Despite only releasing their first tune together in late 2018, the Austin-based trio and British artist have been friends for a while and their chemistry is undeniable.
Now, WAVEDASH and Shadient return to Gud Vibrations with another menacing track titled ‘Tung Tiied’ to further showcase their versatility, inventiveness and raw talent. The new single carries an underlying punk essence in the introduction without escaping the heavy bass style that each has mastered over the years. After a high-intensity opening, ‘Tung Tiied’ quickly evolves into a wicked dubstep piece highlighted by sharp sound design, all-engulfing basses and an energy that can not be tamed. The potency of the track only continues to grow from there, with a hardstyle-leaning section only playing a piece in what is a mesmerizing second half.

WAVEDASH and Shadient are bass music geniuses. The proof is below.

Despite first coming together on a track when remixing RL Grime’s ‘Era‘ late last year, WAVEDASH and Shadient are no strangers to each other’s work. Having both made the move to NGHTMRE and Slander’s Gud Vibrations label this year, it was only a matter of time until these bass heavyweights came together on an original. The Austin-based trio and Essex-based producer have ceaselessly demonstrated a production prowess beyond their years, and their newest, aptly-titled single ‘Get Wicked’ is no exception to this statement.

Haunting melodies and effects drive the introduction forward from the get-go as crunchy layers of bass are gradually added as the track progresses. When the drop hits, all familiarity of dubstep is lost as WAVEDASH and Shadient unleash an insanely intricate yet relentless offering of hard-hitting synths, before catapulting the track into sheer insanity. A short bridge acts as an interlude into what can only be described as raw, unadulterated madness, where WAVEDASH and Shadient give us a glimpse into the future of heavy bass music. ‘Get Wicked’ is not for the faint of heart but is sure to become a mainstage anthem so don’t miss it below.

Alas, the fourth and final track of WAVEDASH‘s highly anticipated Opening Ceremony EP is finally upon us. From the incredibly dynamic ‘Deathwish’, to the forward-thinking ‘BSTRD‘ alongside Quest, to the neck-snapping ‘Whiplash‘, the ridiculously talented trio have set the bar high with the first full project on NGHTMRE and Slander’s Gud Vibrations label. To round out a true flex of their musical prowess, WAVEDASH offer fans an eclectic collision of beauty and bass in ‘The Same’, the closing track of the Opening Ceremony EP.

Reminiscent of ‘Always’, WAVEDASH introduce ‘The Same’ with a soothing piano melody, before anonymous, soulful vocals chime in. Don’t be fooled by the deceptively melodic opening, though, as an epic skull-shattering synth dissolves the intro into serrating synths and stabbing basslines. Displaying production capabilities beyond their years through meticulous sound design and raw complexities, the trio somehow evoke powerful emotions prior to unleashing and after taming a bass monster of monumental proportions.

WAVEDASH truly never disappoint. Don’t miss ‘The Same’ and the entire Opening Ceremony EP below!

Peanut butter and jelly. Bacon and eggs. Yin and yang. Wavedash and Quest. Those are just a few examples of pairings that, when combined, become more powerful than when alone. It’s impossible to deny the chemistry that the Austin-based trio and their fellow Texan have developed over the years, collaborating on massive hits such as ‘Flood’, ‘Off Leash’, and their genre-defying collaborative Devil Music EP released earlier this year. In just a couple of years, both Wavedash and Quest have established themselves as bass music’s most promising acts, keeping dubstep fresh and exciting while continuously exploring new realms of bass.

Coming off the debut release on NGHTMRE and Slander’s Gud Vibrations label, Wavedash are keeping their hot streak alive with a single titled ‘BSTRD’ featuring none other than Quest. Wasting no time, the collaborators bombard listeners with gnarly sound design from the get-go, with meticulously arranged contorted synths and futuristic lasers that will bring out your nastiest bass face. A melodic break riddled with catchy samples perfectly leads the song into a second banging drop. It might take a few listens to appreciate the full beauty of this bass monster, but it’s totally worth your time.

Bridging the gap between dubstep, electro, and bass house, Wavedash and Quest are prime examples of producers preventing bass music from getting dull, and ‘BSTRD’ is further proof of this statement. Check it out below!

Austin-based trio Wavedash have gone from unknown high-schoolers to dubstep’s most promising act in just three short years. After earning the respect from none other than Skrillex with their 2016 single ‘Bang’, the sound design geniuses have continued to tear speakers around the world with their tracks such as ‘Like That’, ‘Off Leash’, and more recently with ‘Devil Music’ and their collaboration with Slander titled ‘Move Back’. The young trio’s ability to push sound boundaries and keep bass music fun and refreshing is unparalleled, and it’s nice to see them finally get the exposure they deserve through collaborations with trap dons Slander and today’s latest monster titled ‘Grave’ alongside NGHTMRE.

‘Grave’ was first teased at Ultra Music Festival back in March when the boys jumped on stage with Slander and NGHTMRE for part of their show, and fans have been itching for a full release ever since. It was well worth the wait, as the bass-heavy track combines immaculate sound design with raw, unadultered bass to create an insanely complex masterpiece. The influence of both Wavedash and NGHTMRE can be heard throughout the track, with the former’s signature synths shining in the drops and the latter’s diversity and trap roots tying the track together. The last drop will leave you in awe, with the producers stepping out of their comfort zones to deliver an unexpected surprise.

Stream ‘Grave’ below!
