Last year I stumbled across an incredible New York based producer by the name of Drek Martinez. His debut original, ‘No Love Lost’ made me an instant fan and releases like ‘Muse’, ‘Runaway’ and ‘6th Gear’ proved his consistency. I predicted a huge year for the up-and-coming artist but his SoundCloud fell silent for all of 2015. After spending a good portion of the year in LA working on other projects, he has finally returned under a new name and with new material. Producing under his real name, Julian, comes a moving rework of Major Lazer’s ‘Be Together’. The builds are captivating, the drops are breathtaking and the soundscape is stunning.
