Lately there’s an exciting flourish of producers who have made their first appearances behind the microphone. First chromonicci, then Chuck Sutton, soon to come Laxcity and, right here, right now, 92elm. If you’re not familiar with this East Coast producer, you certainly are not a SoundCloud regular and for now, just know that this name is a first-rated one at the FUXWITHIT office.
‘No Love’ is the worthy follow-up to his two previous brilliant releases ‘Charm’ and ‘Honest’, and is the exact kind of stuff I like to call a post-future-pop-ballad: in other words, cool, smooth, touching, electronic music. 92elm’s trademark lush synths delivers once again creating an idyllic atmosphere, an antidote against the deleterious frenzy that stresses us everyday. Like the sunrise puts an end to the nocturnal agitation of the sea, ‘No Love’ is a piece of music that wipes out useless fears and brings serenity just from the first notes, surrounding and cuddling the listener with its golden light and silky smooth vibe. In addition, the unexpected mournful vocal section adds a slight touch of summertime sadness, which donates the final tasty bittersweet flavour to the whole composition.
