Yvng Jalapeño comes in hot and spicy with a surprise house inspired remix of DMA’s ‘The End’.
The Aussie producer has been dropping fire tracks since 2015, and his latest remix testifies to his dexterous mixing techniques and genre crossing prowess. The original creators of this track crafted a sound that was fairly mainstream, but still incredible with its emotional vibes and thought-provoking lyrics. Yvng Jalapeño seems to have pulled up the bass by the scruff of its neck, shook all the change out of its pockets, and put it to work in his remix. There are some seductively smooth transitions that take the listener from airy techno synths, to more full-bodied trembles.
Yvng Jalapeño has been known for his trap sounds but its hard to believe with this deep house mix. It seems to have been something bubbling inside him as he describes his struggle with pulling from his creative mind into our reality.
“When I first started producing a few years back I use to make house/disco house. I was never able to really nail either genre just because of my skill level at the time. It feels good to be able to nail the sounds I had in my head back then.”
Reinventing the sounds to bring out the emotion of a track is not an easy feat, but Jalapeño does it in a way that brings new life and housey energy. What is especially powerful about Yvng Jalapeño’s version of ‘The End’ is how he matches the build ups and drops with the lyrics. Instead of changing the tone of the track, he adds to it by drawing on the power of the emotions, and pitting them against more aggressive instrumentals. He’s made a hit that is sure to get you moving on the dance floor.
