A familiar face in the FUXWITHIT community, NXSTY is notorious for spine-tingling snares, impeccable breaks, meaty samples and a downright audacious approach to trap music. Coming off a piping hot year of releases, NXSTY seemed to drop heater after heater, each track further revealing the sheer brilliance this Vancouver native brings to the table.
The latest release from the Canadian talent starts off on a lighter note than his usual grime, providing a brief glimpse at a more synth-heavy side to NXSTY that we haven’t yet sampled. An affectionate, welcoming synth fringed with a distant siren give rise to a drowned vocal loop.
As the drum pattern commences leading into the 1-minute mark, the energy begins to pour from the seams of the track, unleashing an ensemble of taut snares that hurl the tune into a contrasting pattern of oriental flutes, colossal bass hits, and blossoming synths.
A medley of flutes guides the tune to a brief hiatus peppered with remnants of the infectious vocal loop before a rumbling bass beckons the track in a darker direction. A piercing riser packed with crisp snares unearths an onslaught of thundering bass notes.
