WHIPPED CREAM Returns With Sinister Heater ‘BLOOD’

by Steph Contant

If you feel like you’ve been seeing WHIPPED CREAM‘s name everywhere in the past year and a half, it’s probably because you have been. Collaborations with Hekler, JUDGE, and Luca Lush, as well as an EP on NEST HQ and releases on Dim Mak and TWONK are just some of the achievements the Canadian producer has accomplished as of late. Five years of grinding and continuing to push her limits as an artist has finally gotten WHIPPED CREAM the recognition she deserves, and fans are in store for a lot more. Today, we are treated with the tip of the iceberg in the form of a gnarly bass heater titled ‘BLOOD’, out now on Deadbeats.

In a tweet that she claims will be deleted soon, WHIPPED CREAM cites ‘BLOOD’ as just the beginning, with hopefully two more tracks dropping by the end of the year. Whether that happens or not, listeners have plenty of heaviness to tide them over until then. ‘BLOOD’ begins in an eerie soundscape highlighted by tribal chants and cult-like rhythm. From there, the Vancouver-based producer drops a thunderous bomb on listeners driven by wickedly distorted synths and ground-shattering bass. The second half of the track is even more twisted and sinister than the first, so take this as a warning.

Check out ‘BLOOD’ below and buckle up for the journey that’s ahead!
