Born to Auckland, New Zealand trap producer QUIX has steadily risen the ranks of up & coming producers, leaving a remarkable lasting impression in the realms of trap and future bass since his debut in the scene just under 4 years ago. With official remixes for Party Thieves & ATLiens’ ‘Chief’ and NGHTMRE & SLANDER’s ‘You’ under his belt, he set out to release his debut EP Heaps Cool via Dim Mak Records, where he first truly demonstrated his creative discipline and innovation for peculiar and unfamiliar trap sounds.
The latest EP from the bright young Kiwi titled Illusions flaunts a multitude of genres, touching upon a more emotional, melodic future bass style with ‘Ride or Die’, as well as dabbling in a heavier bass sound in his collaboration with Bok Nero; while ‘Get Down’ and ‘Giving Up’ provide satisfies all cravings for the coveted QUIX squeaky trap style.
