Presenting EP number two of the year, Mississippi-native TVBOO releases yet another panoramic collection and shows no signs of slowing down any time soon. From producing a song for the Kansas City Chiefs to performing live sets, TVBOO really holds potential that deserves to be recognized. The latest project comes to us from the Minnesota owned record label Outer Realms. Being the second EP provided by this record label, Cult Classics finds its perfect place of residence.
Adding to his repertoire of releases, the newest project integrates an exploration to an alternate dimension. Being packed full of collaborations, it doesn’t hold back from blasting off before seat-belts have a chance to be fastened. Sit back and relax as we enter undiscovered territories.
Prepare the spaceship and get ready for takeoff with ‘Bando‘. A tribal drum intro sets the scene before yanking you not only through space, but to an alternate dimension where TVBOO teams up with Hyphee as the tour leaders. Reality dissolves before your eyes from the uneasy bass that welcomes you. The lands are a smooth green haze that intrigue listeners to search the area in attempt to discover where we have landed.
Inviting female vocals bring you in to survey the surroundings. Larger than life insects buzz overhead and the air is a mist of cold moisture. Taking over the tour, beardthug helps TVBOO bring full capacity bass elements to life as the ground below you begins to tremble. A fitting title, ‘IDKWTF‘ contains the perimeters of an unknown habitat.
Continuing deeper into the frenetic and demented atmosphere, we have met our next destination with ‘Hyperspace‘. Things still look mysterious and unrecognizable but it now presents a familiar feeling and mood. The anxiety is eased as things are starting to make sense. This experience is surrounded by chaos while still providing tranquility and it is time to ascend as we have learned to use motor skills in this overstimulated hyperspace.
These lands may not be familiar but we know our species reigns supreme. Its time to learn about working a laser with our last tour guide, Shanghai Doom, to solidify the position of power. In this world full of cold trudge and turmoil, it has been a place to learn and conquer. Otherworldly sound design dominates in ‘Laser Radiation’ as you now prepare to depart from this journey. The laser-like synths carry over gnarly growls and return us back to home lands. Our senses are full and limitations have no boundary. We hope you enjoyed this adventure lead by TVBOO and friends as much as the FUXWITHIT fam has. Be sure to grab your free download here.
