Malaa‘s latest original track ‘Addiction’ is both full of educational statements and heavy house beats.
Off of Tchami‘s CONFESSION record label, ‘Addiction’ is the first of Malaa’s 2019 releases and showcases his swagger through its seductive build-ups and nonchalant drug references which inform listeners of the warning signs and influences of cocaine addiction.
He takes his time with the drop on this one, but in classic Malaa style it has grimy bass lines, snappy snares, and thrilling up tempo. This track is pretty irresistible and sure to appear in the set lists of his upcoming performances. Even though the flawless progression and build ups are telltale, the sound of this track is uniquely eerie yet visceral, proving Malaa to still have some surprises up his sleeve. If this new music is any indication that we can expect more original music from Malaa count me in. There’s just no getting enough of his French house style.
