Pigeon Hole Take No Prisoners In ‘No Coming Back’

by Zach Bayha

Canadian duo, Pigeon Hole, have been heating up the West Coast bass music scene for a few years now, and with releases on labels like Waakan and Saturate Records, you can expect to find some seriously heavy, face-melting tracks from them. The duo effortlessly combines hip-hop elements with the dark, experimental sounds that artists like G-Jones, Eprom, and more navigate. Their latest release, titled ‘No Coming Back’ stays true to their roots, but delivers a powerful punch of devastating proportions.

‘No Coming Back’ begins with classic hip-hop drums, layered over a haunting emergency alarm blaring in the distance. As the intensity builds, the listener is given a sense of urgency to find cover before the track unleashes into a gritty, apocalyptic soundscape that warms your speakers. After the first attack, the vocals, “Coming Back” echo, warning listeners that they aren’t finished with their assault. The second drop is full of wiggly, destructive sounds over a bouncy rhythm, that is sure to decimate dance floors.
