The Canadian supergroup, known as Black Tiger Sex Machine, just dropped their remix of Excision & Illenium’s iconic single ‘Gold’ yesterday, as part of Excison’s massive, Apex Remixes pack, and we absolutely cannot get enough of it.
Their insanely hard-hitting, electro infused flip of this new-age dubstep classic plays with the sultry vocals of Shallows and interlaces them with a marvelously gritty web of distortion and electro synths before launching you into hyperspace at the drop. The grinding saws and massive subs are soon overtaken with triumphant horns and classic arpeggios at the bridge, and after the chorus, the second drop takes us even deeper into that electro-dub territory that BTSM is known for. Lovely.
BTSM has become one of the must-see EDM acts of the past three years, and this latest remix is a perfect example as to why you should see them whenever you get a chance.
