PREMIERE: Fryar & Houman Cause Chaos With ‘Crossed’

by Steph Contant

Fryar and Houman are no strangers to working together. Through the Wavecraft Collective formed a couple of years ago, the two versatile bass producers have shown their innate chemistry through various eclectic pieces such as the Duality EP, ‘Crisis‘ and ‘Levitate.’ Weaving smoothly between trap, halftime, neuro and more, there’s no telling exactly how these two will boggle your mind next, but one certainty is that it will happen every time they come together.

Fryar and Houman’s newest joint endeavour comes in the form of the Crossed EP, out on SATURATE! Records on August 13th. Ahead of its release, the pair of producers have already unleashed the mind-melting ‘Nerve,’ and today they look to make more noise with the project’s title track that we are ecstatic to premiere.

Just as they have done so many times in the past, Fryar and Houman go full mad scientist on ‘Crossed.’ Textured synths introduce the track, before eerie melodies and added ruggedness quickly segway listeners to bass mayhem. Wasting no time, Fryar and Houman bounce off each other’s strengths to concoct a halftime heater perfectly crafted for the SATURATE! essence. Relentless basses and intriguing musicality captivate your attention throughout the entirety of the first drop, but it’s the raw insanity of the second drop that truly make ‘Crossed’ a standout.

Don’t miss ‘Crossed’ below and stay tuned for the rest of the EP!
