Bay area boys Anthony Battaglia and Harrison Hays, better known by their duo production moniker Smoakland, and North Carolina native Houstan Harrelson, aka Houman, have been individually flexing sound systems to max capabilities as of late. Incorporating bass lines thicker than a bowl of oatmeal and vibrations that don’t bang, but rather drip gangster swag, these guys are a force to be reckoned with in the sound design game. Today, they’ve created a vat of their collective creative juices, to mold a concoction that will take you straight to the dome.
‘Blunted’ is an intoxicant of the highest degree, eliciting an ego-boosting sense of fulfillment. From the opening beats, the overwhelming sense of style and immaculate aesthetic is readily apparent, making even the most conservative of listeners drop it all the way to the floor.
