French producer Sebjin and Dallas’ Capshun have connected for a cross-continental collaboration. Despite the distance, the two producers have already been on the same wave length prior to connecting. Their styles embody the future beat resurgence to a tee with influences of hip hop and trap balanced against moving soundscapes. ‘ANIMΛ’ is the best of what both have to offer. A hazy loop breathes nostalgia and late summer feels. As the drums and bass kick in, the waves start rolling in, creating a laid-back bop with a breezy demeanor. Like the aforementioned waves, this one doesn’t stay still. The mellow nature is replaced with crashing bass and pounding percussion, creating a darker more fierce atmosphere. But that doesn’t last either, as track morphs again, mellowing with a jazzy breakdown. Continuing its progression, the finale brings in more bounce while still keeping a sanguine aesthetic.
