Continuing upon this theme today, DJ Ride is back with a five-track monster of an EP titled MERAKI, out now on Slow Roast Records.
MERAKI is exactly what you’d expect from a bass-oriented turntablist, while never omitting a true element of surprise. ‘New Weapons’ is a genre-defying piece blurring the lines between halftime, trap and everything in between. ‘For Craze’ continues along these lines, with mind-melting sound design sure to catapult your brain into another dimension. The BassBrothers lend DJ Ride a helping hand in ‘Move Fast,’ where the drum & bass-leaning piece will get your heart beating out of its chest. ‘Wild’ alongside Stereosaurro lives up to its name, seeing the two producers go crazy with sounds to create a perplexing banger.
