Acrillics Split Apart Sound On ‘Fractures’

by Zach Bayha

Finding themselves freshly settled into life in LA, the powerhouse duo known as Acrillics have been hard at work in the studio. Their last release, titled ‘Bloom‘ was so good we had to snatch it up for a premiere. And now they’ve returned with a new release ‘Fracture’ on Subterranean Sounds that really showcases how much they’ve stepped their game up.

‘Fracture’ begins with crisp drums that quickly build into a drop that gives immediate bass face. Using an extremely wonky lead that seems to glide around the beat, Acrillics also make excellent use of the negative space in this track, truly creating a rift in sound. The second drop has an even more improved flow to it, adding bending fills and playful percussion. Acrillics has definitely knocked this one out of the park, and we can’t wait to see what they’ll be doing next.
