Josh Teed’s 2019 has been one of intense growth, with showcasing his eclectic blend of melodic, heavy bass and immensely beautiful fiddle being his target focus. Incorporating true instrumental talent with a keen ear for production is a deadly combo, and one that he is no stranger to. Sharing the stage for many of his performances this year with the aid of a live band pushed his performances over the top, giving all in attendance a hybrid experience of the utmost quality. Now, he’s coupled his efforts with a man that has had many years of fame on social media for his musical keyboarding videos, Jason Leech, who’s been performing stellar recreations and original routines of artists like Bassnectar, Griz, and LSDREAM to raucous applause. We’ve had the pleasure of premiering their first collaboration ‘Hinode’, one of two tracks on Teed’s latest Duality EP, here on FUXWITHIT to set a vibe for all your Black Friday shopping bumps.
‘Hinode’ begins with an airy, peaceful soundscape that immediately entwines you with its tranquility, yet also boasts a powerful sense of adventure that only grows stronger as it builds. The initial drops starts your romp through this sonic thoroughfare, with the buttery smooth flow not unlike wind chimes on a blustery day. Each sound has a satisfying pop to it, and each builds satisfyingly on the next. Leech’s keys mixed in with Teed’s bassy, wubby elements creates a serious, yet mysterious vibe about it that leans more towards a sense of wonder than it does fear.
If there’s anything to be said about ‘Hinode’ and Teed’s Dualism EP as a whole, it’s that they are an absolute joy to the listen to, and with this much prowess at a young age, his forthcoming productions should be an instant play when you see them pop up in your news feed. For now, check out ‘Hinode’ for yourself below!
